I took all of my drivers to the pro shop and hit a few balls with on their indoor video range with each club. I could not hit a ball to save my life. The popped strait up or i topped them the hooked or sliced. they went every where but strait down the fairway. I hit about 5% strait down the fairway. I tried the TaylorMade Burner Superfast and 90-95% went strait down the fairway and gave me 20-50 yards further yardage. I had about 5% pop up duff, hook or slice. I had a Great Big Bertha before and had stopped playing golf regularly years ago. I started back to once or twice per month this past summer. I hit the GBB about 330-350 yards and now I hit the Superfast 370+. It’s a good club for me as I am tall- 6′4″- and the shaft is longer than others on the market. If I have one complaint (and it’s not a legitimate one) it is that the club is deafeningly loud when I hit the ball. It’s so loud that it literally makes your ears ring like after a gunshot. Either way I do like the club and would recommend it to any average golfer that likes to hit long off the tee.

This is the best fairway wood I have every played. Most people exaggerate how much yardage they gain with new clubs, but I can honestly say that this club has added 20 yards to my drives. I’ve gone from a 260 yd hitter to 280! Goes straight but is easy to control as well. Great fairway wood!

Forgiving on off-center hits, but it definitely has a sweet spot. When hit flush, it has a different tone and the ball comes off the face very hot.I bought this club, and only miss hit 1 drive when I went out yesterday for the first time with it. Hit longer and straighter than I ever have. It is the first decent Driver I have owned and I freaking love it.I Got the Callaway FT-9 last week. Have only smacked a few buckets at the range Verdict: Longer than the FT-3. Straighter than the Ping or Taylormade. Has a nice solid sound at ball impact. Looks good at address, lines up easy. Played a full round with my new FT-9 yesterday. First drive of the day, no warm up, exactly where I aimed it and the longest drive of the day. Just goes to show a smooth swing produces the best results. This driver is terrific and I love the idea that I can interchange the shaft if I feel like a change or find a better shaft. Love the shape, the feel and the sound. Feel very confident over the ball. Just got to sort out the swing now and I know I’ll be hitting good drives more consistently with this great club.This is the best driver I have ever owned. I switched from a 10.5 degree driver that was 2in longer, and I hit this 9 degree driver consistently 20-25yds longer. The ball flight is also very penetrating. With my old driver, I usually carried it about 245yds and roll another 10yds; with the new FT-9, I got it to carry 255yds then roll another 15yds. Overall, this driver is an excellent replacement for any driver.My Driver FT-5 old little crack and I brought new Callaway FT-9 hit straight than FT-5 I am surprise. I really love Callaway FT-9 Driver great swing hit straight, now handicap down now my 12 wow. I am happy FT-9 Driver. I am 70 yrs old. I am keep going play golf.The FT-9 is long and straight.
