Tiger flashes signs of the old Tiger

Article by Jcinta

Is Tiger back? Is the golf world fearing him once more? Is Tiger’s TaylorMade Burner Superfast Fairway Wood weirdly dysfunctional, as evidenced by poor putting on Saturday? Why, if Tiger is back, was he on the business end of the worst Presidents Cup loss ever – 7 and 6 – with his buddy, Steve Stricker? Why did Tiger putt so well against Baddeley on Sunday? Was it the tip he said he got from Stricker, or does he thrive more in singles as opposed to team golf? How vindicated was Fred Couples for choosing Tiger as a captain’s pick? How badly did Greg Norman look for questioning the pick while getting served his lunch on the International’s home course? And what was with Geoff Ogilvy and Charl Schwartzel sporting those mustaches?TaylorMade Burner Superfast Fairway Wood If you want symmetry, Australia may fittingly be the boomerang spot for Tiger’s career. If he is back, and 2012 is one of those six-win/two-major landmark years for Tiger, history will note that his last successful showing, pre-Escalade-into-a-fire-hydrant, was a win at the Australian Masters in 2009.After that win, the National Enquirer got involved, and things got squirrelly. Two years later, ranked 50th in the world instead of No. 1, he stirred chatter with a near-win (third place) at the Australian Masters. Tiger then came to Royal Melbourne and displayed his finest, most consistent ball-striking since the unfortunate events of Thanksgiving 2009.Australia: Tiger’s Lourdes?TaylorMade Burner Superfast Fairway Wood Before we start planning April’s green-jacket fitting, it must be noted that one year ago, amid turmoil, Tiger waxed Francesco Molinari, 4 and 3, in the 2010 Ryder Cup. There is something about match play in a singles format that brings out the bloodthirsty beast in Tiger, damaged knee or not, shredded reputation or not.And there is the nettlesome matter of Tiger’s work on the putting greens in Day 3′s fourball match, when he whiffed on 11 birdie tries inside 15 feet. Oh-for-11! The old Tiger would have made nine, and been heated that he missed the other two. If four days of consistent play is what will win Tiger tournaments in 2012 – he remains winless since that ’09 Aussie Masters, back before the iPad even existed – then the entirety of his four-day run at Royal Melbourne (2-3) shows he may still be lacking. And yet, after Woods disposed of Baddeley – in a manner so efficient and bloodless, it called to mind a man clearing a table and loading the dishwasher – there was something to the way his teammates mobbed him after, with spirited hugs and high-fives, and something to the way Tiger happily received the TaylorMade Burner Superfast Fairway Wood . It was almost a “welcome back” party.Even though the Return of Tiger to top-flight competition means everybody’s job gets harder, their team-wide embrace of the erstwhile world No. 1 maybe meant they knew three things: 1. Golf is better when Tiger is on the TV, hitting great shots; 2. Purses stay big and lucrative when Tiger attracts ratings; and; 3. In his Tiger 2.0 state, the fear factor of 1997-2009 has dissipated, and guys like Webb Simpson and Hunter Mahan and Nick Watney can play Sundays without needing a diaper.Even Johnny Miller, who usually sharpens his fangs for moments like these, sounded impressed by Tiger’s flush golf shots. “If he can get putting again,” Miller said, “watch out.” Of course, that’s the thing. There’s no guarantee – or lasting evidence – that Tiger Woods can ever again putt like, well, Tiger Woods. And the fact is, Tiger only scored two points as a captain’s pick, outpointed by seven teammates, even though he played all five TaylorMade Burner Superfast Fairway Wood . But statistics can deceive, and Tiger received little help from wayward partner Dustin Johnson in a couple of those matches, and from an ailing Stricker in their embarrassing beatdown at the hands of K.J. Choi, Adam Scott and – oh, yeah – caddie Steve Williams.

Golf Driving Range – How To Use It To Improve Your Game

Article by Brad Long

If you play any amount of golf you have noticed that some golf courses have driving ranges and others do not. From my experience a golf course would not have a driving range because of the area. By that I mean the course is located in a city that doesn’t have enough real estate to be able to provide to its players. While other golf courses never had it included in their plans when designing it.So what is the driving range most useful for? Some would say it’s place to get yourself loose before you head out to the first tee. Others will say its a place to hone in your skills that you can take from the driving range to the golf course. However, most of us who are avid golfers know this is easier said than done. I have experienced a really bad warm up session on the driving range where I couldn’t hit anything where I was looking, and then had a great ball striking round. While other warm up sessions I struck the ball wonderfully but failed to carry that over to my round.Such is the normal ups and downs golfers of all levels will experience. If you watch golf you may have noticed the announcers will watch some of the players warm up before they begin their round. They often make comments on how they looked warming up on the range and how well they were able to hit control shots of all types. This rule pertains to the best players in the world as well. Tiger Woods for example, has been known to have an awful warm up, and then went to the golf course and played “beautifully”, as he likes to put it.So if you are confused on why you may hit the ball great during your warm up before you play, and then fail to be able to carry that over to the golf course – know that you are in company of not only most golfers but some of the best players in the world as well.So what can we do about it? Well golf is like a lot of others sports in that we need to actually practice like we play. Take Basketball for an example. Coaches will simulate “real game” situations everyday during practice to make it seem as much like the real thing as possible. Football coaches do this as well putting as much pressure on the players as possible helping prepare the guys for real game situations. So the next time you find yourself on the driving range hitting 95% of your shots with your driver ask yourself if this is actually benefiting your playing potential. I can answer that for you and say with an affirmative NO. If you could spend 10 minutes or so and picture the first few holes in your mind, and actually hit some of the shots you might experience on those holes, it could help your performance on the golf course. We all know how important it is to get off to a good start and for those who are not as experienced as professionals probably aren’t mentally tough enough to handle a shaky start. Nick Faldo used to play the first nine holes on the driving range before he played some of his tournaments. What does this do for you? It will help expand your imagination and feel, which are vital to be a good player.Anyway hope this little tid bit helped. Take this advice seriously experimenting on your own, and little by little you should start seeing some improvements in your game.

Team Up With Tiger – Gifts For Golf Pros

Article by John Smith

Golf is one of the most popular sporting pastimes among men and women of all ages, which is perhaps why many such players consider themselves ‘professional’. Indeed, unless these people are in fact professional golfers, the majority of players who spend their time on local and national courses will have only a medium to good level of skill. Thus, whilst teaming up with Tiger Woods, not Tony might not be a realistic option for many golfers, there are a large number of players around the world who possess the credentials to play golf seriously.

Furthermore, due to the passive aggressive nature of competition in the sport, playing seriously is what many of these golfers end up doing, so for this reason it Read More→

The Golf Mind: You Will Never Be Golf’s Master

Article by Richard Tyler

In this article, we are going to discuss the proper golf mind. Most of us don’t have it. A few, like Tiger Woods, certainly do. Today, we will look at a few essential thoughts that you need to have to improve your golf game.

We have all heard that golf is a game that is played “90% between the ears”. Obviously, this means that the proper golf thoughts are essential. Ironically though, few of us actually think enough about golf before we play. We bash balls for hours at the range and we usually get frustrated with each subsequent poor shot. Yet, this does not count as thought. It is action–physical practice–and it is bad practice at that.

One of the infrequently acknowledged things that we love about sports, and golf in particular, is this: It cannot be mastered.

Yet, each time that we go out to play we attempt to “master” the game and it cannot be done. Thus, we are left feeling dejected and that all of our practice yielded nothing.

Have you ever noticed that you typically play the back nine holes faster than the front nine? If you play a lot of public golf in California, as I do, you surely realize that 18 holes of golf takes a lot time. However, the back nine always goes faster.

Why do people play the back nine faster than the front nine? The reason is this: Golfers start hole #1 with high expectations, expectations of mastery. Their golf dreams for that day are quickly dashed, perhaps even on the first hole, as their hopes of becoming a par golfer are left unrealized.

Then, on the back nine, these people simply relax and play the game, not obsessing about their score–since that was already destroyed with two eights on the front side–and they begin to play better golf.

Two of the keys to great golf are humility and relaxation.

Humility allows us to realize that we can never be golf’s master. It will always be ours. The best female golfer of our day, Annika Sorenstam, has said that she will never be truly satisfied with her results until she shoots a 54. That’s a birdie on every hole which she never accomplished. Golf is a humbling game even for the world’s best golfers.

Allowing yourself to be humbled in the game of golf will allow you to enjoy the game of golf and relax. Relaxation is essential to a great game of golf.

If you are a fan of the game of golf, you watch a lot of it on TV. How often have you seen the best golfers in the world make an ugly swing? It does not happen frequently.

Two of the best golfers on the senior tour right now are Fred Funk and Loren Roberts. Using readily available Taylor Made Drivers, each of them swing easy and relaxed and both drive the golf ball straight down the middle an average of 270 yards.

So the next time you go out for a round of golf, remember two things. One, learn from your mistakes without getting frustrated. You will never be golf’s master. And two, make sure your swing is relaxed and flowing by asking yourself: Would that swing have looked good on TV?

Improve Your Golf Drive – A Medicus Driver Review

Article by Jeremy Winters

If you’re both a devoted follower and player of golf you must have heard of the Medicus driver, the golf club that is ready to transform the flair and art formerly connected with a standard golf driver. Really the only point of departure concerning this particular driver and normal drivers is the craftsmanship, one that leaves quite little to the imagination due to the two hinges positioned along the length. Continue reading to learn just what this brand new golf club is all about by way of this Medicus driver review.

Breaking Misadventures Are Cured With Practice

Although it has an elegant and completely revolutionary design, lots of the criticism about this club is directed at the breaking mishaps usually linked with the two hinges. This undue criticism is pretty unfair once you eventually realize that breaking is not a direct result of poor craftsmanship, but really the player’s inexperience. The truth is that you’ll profit a lot more from utilizing the Medicus driver simply by taking some time to practice your swing. If you check out the official web site – or if your kit included a CD guide – you can reap the benefits of finding out how you can perfect your swing.

When you follow the tips outlined here you will discover that your swing will improve so fast that before long you will not be disregarding the prospect of facing Tiger Woods – or any other prominent golfer for that matter – at the final hole of an important championship. Nonetheless, do not let experience fool you into believing that you are fully protected from any unexpected breaking accidents. From time to time the more skilled golfers in fact find themselves breaking this particular club just as if they were beginners.

Some Product Features

It is quite easy to form an intimate bond with this club since there are many qualities that enable you to develop the confidence to perform well. To begin with, there’s the adjustability. The hinges may be fully adjusted by using an Allen wrench to meet your sensitivity requirements – whether you choose high or low sensitivity when playing shots.

In addition to this there’s the rubber grip that offers any insecure golfer the confidence of knowing that the club will not slip out of the hands and fly even farther than the ball. Qualities of this nature give any golfer the rare luxury of tweaking shots according to his personal preferences.

Loose Training

The simple fact that you’ve turned to a highly advanced golf club – and to this Medicus driver review – to make improvements to your game is certainly testimony to your desperate efforts to improve your game immediately. Nonetheless, it’s recommended that you get involved with loose training to make certain that you discover the smallest of weaknesses in your swinging techniques.

It is hoped this Medicus driver review has outlined what you’ll be able to anticipate from this excellent training golf club.
