Putting Instruction For The Weekend Muni-Golfer

Putting Instruction For The Weekend Muni-Golfer

Article by Jim Masters

Look you could watch the golf channel all you want on putting instruction from all the teachers and pro’s but the bottom line if you are anything like me you don’t have the time to go out everyday and put their concepts to work. Like myself and most of the world we’ve got jobs and families that we need to make priority #1. But, when you have the opportunity to get out on a Saturday morning you want to make the best of it. Right?

Well, in this article I’m going to just give you a couple of tips that you can take with you to the course Saturday morning and make more putts!

The first thing you need to realize about putting is that you don’t want to think about hitting the ball. You want to think about rolling the ball to the hole. You see unlike hitting a golf ball, putting takes touch and finesse. If you simply step up to the ball and try and hit it you will not be able to control your distance.

So for the first putting instruction tip – Think roll the ball to the hole.

Second, don’t spend to much time trying to read the greens. Thinking to much in putting will only restrict your ability to make putts. What you want to do is just decide weather your going uphill or downhill. Is the putt going left or right. And once you get those two things figured out simply pick your line you want to putt the ball on and again think roll the ball to that spot.

So for the second putting instruction tip – Don’t spend to much time trying to read the green.

Lastly, focus your attention on making those 3 to 4 footers and don’t play to much break.

How many times have you hit a good drive, nice approach shot and left yourself with that 20 foot birdie putt and then just lipped out that putt and left yourself with that 3 footer left for par and stepped up and missed it turning that birdie opportunity into a disappointing bogey?

Well, I can relate. Because it seems like this happens more times than not. Those putts are crucial to you having a good round or not having a good round.

When facing those 3 to 4 footers make yourself stay focused and don’t play a lot of break. Simply make yourself concentrate on the back of the cup and make a good solid firm stroke and you will make more than you miss!

In Closing:

Putting instruction for the average weekend muni- golfer doesn’t have to be over complicated. Simply incorporate the tips I listed above and you will make your fair share of putts.

I hope you were able to get some good valuable information out of this article.

The Golf Beginner Guide (Review)

The Golf Beginner Guide (Review)

Article by Nick Boynton

The Golf Beginner Guide is a book that can be used by beginners and experienced golfers alike. Sure, the book was written for beginners, but as a Golf Pro, I was pleasantly surprised by how much even an experienced player like myself can take away from this book. The amount of content it (over 240 pages) is unbelievable. I’ll have to admit that the mere amount of pages scared me at first, but the straightforward approach the author took when writing this book made it easy to read, follow, and digest.

The Golf Beginner Guide: What Were the Results?

Unlike the other golf ebooks I have reviewed, this book covers everything there is to know about golf. It will teach you the basics of driving, chipping, and putting down to the finest detail. If you don’t have a good swing, this book covers it. If you lack any kind of foundation in your game, this book will provide you with a sturdy one. If you already have a solid foundation in your game like me, this book will reinforce it.

This book offers beneficial tips in all facets of the game. I really liked the strategy the Golf Beginner Guide covers for its reader. Not only will it tell you how to hit certain shots, it will tell you how to approach them, both mentally and physically. Golf isn’t all about hitting it far and straight, being successful also has a lot to do with knowing when to hit which club, when to have a full swing, when to use a half swing…etc. The Golf Beginner Guide’s index is great and well organized as you will be able to skim back through the book very easily if you are looking to revisit a specific lesson/or topic. This is how I used it for the most part, rather than use it as a book, you can use it as a too/or guide and constantly refer back to it.

The Golf Beginner Guide: Conclusion

The bottom line is, this book is good. This is probably the longest book I’ve read in quite some time (I’m not a big reader) and it wasn’t bad at all. Like I mentioned earlier, it is written in straight-forward language that makes things easy to read and easy to understand. At less than for this book you can’t go wrong. That’s less than a single lesson with a golf pro at your local club or driving range and I can say for sure that this book will offer you more in short and long run than you’ll get out of that lesson.

The Golf Beginner Guide is definitely an investment worth making. It will help you get started as a beginner and make you better as you become more experienced. Look at this book more as an extensive guide/tool than a book, because it is something that you will be able to refer back to for the rest of your life, I guarantee it. Give this book a shot, you won’t regret it.To read more about the product visit it’s official site: http://onlinegolfdealreviews.com/golfbeginnerguide

How to Hit Your Golf Tee Shots Long and Straight

How to Hit Your Golf Tee Shots Long and Straight

Article by Golfdiscountsale2

The golf tee shot is your first shot on each hole out on the golf course. Typically, on par 4s and par 5s, you’ll hit your driver for your tee shot. Many golfers want to be able to hit the ball farther off the tee. Added distance with your driver will allow you to hit shorter irons into greens and generally help you score better. One helpful tip for driving the golf ball farther off the tee is to setup up with your spine angle tilted slightly to the right. With the driver, you want to hit the ball sligtly on the upswing. Setting up with your spine tilted back will help you launch the golf ball high and give you more distance off the tee.Setting up with your weight a touch more on your back foot can also be helpful with your driver. Play the ball all the way off of your left or front heel for best results. If you play the ball too far back in your stance with your driver, you’ll end up de-lofting the club even more and may have trouble getting it up into the air.The pros on tour average 61% driving accuracy with hitting the fairways. The key with your tee shots is to hit it relatively close to the fairway so you are still in play and can manage a decent approach shot to the green. Some people struggle with their driver off the tee and are even afraid to hit it. The reason the driver tends to be a harder club to hit is because it is longer and there is the least amount of loft with this clubhead. The more loft the golf club has, the higher it will go but it the golf ball won’t go as far.You need a proper stance and ball position to learn how to drive a golf ball straight. According to Tiger Woods, there are two reasons golfers do not know how hit the driver straight off of the tee box. He says golfers either place the ball too far back in their stance and/or too far away from their body. Bottom line, you need to have a proper golf stance to learn how to hit a tee shot straight and drive the ball like Tiger.Let’s discuss how to get the ball the proper distance away from your body. This is essential to learning how to hit a golf ball straight off the tee box.1. Your grip should hang beneath and slightly forward of your shoulders at address. 2. Any further forward and you are likely to have a pronounced inside to inside swing that will lead to strong draws or hooks. 3. Any closer to your body and you will tend to have a pronounced outside to outside swing that will lead to strong fades or slices. many golfers have trouble figuring out how to aim a golf shot. You should aim a drawn line on golf ball down the target line. This ball then help your body align from top to bottom starting with your golf foot position on up to your golf shoulder alignment. It also helps you with your golf club head position at address. Then, during the setup you can place the golf club so that the aiming mark on the driver, wood or hybrid lines up with the drawn line on the ball. (Mizuno JPX Fairway Wood) Then you can know that my club is aiming down the target line. This is essential to learning how to drive a golf ball straight. Really, it is an unfair advantage for any situation where you can place the golf ball before you hit it. However, master your driver and you’ll take tons of pressure off the rest of your golf game. It’s a whole lot easier playing from the fairways than it is playing from in the trees. (TaylorMade R9 Driver) When you’re hitting from the fairways, you’ll tend to hit more greens than you would from out of the rough or not in the fairway.
