The White Hot XG 330 Mallet is a face-balanced mallet with Hi-Def Alignment stripes, a “crank-neck” hosel and full-shaft offset. The White Hot XG Rossie Blade is a modified face-balanced mallet with a double-bend shaft and full-shaft offset.As with Odyssey’s previous modern-mallet designs, stability is the key. Heavy alignment wings move the majority of weight to the outer edges of the putter, which dramatically increases the moment of inertia. White, black and red markings appear on the outer wings as well as the inner-alignment aid to help start the putter in the intended direction. The White Hot XG insert provides the soft feel and consistent roll that regular Odyssey users will be familiar with.This is a fine example of Odyssey at its best with a putter that could provide a welcome injection of confidence for anyone struggling on the greens. As ever with Odyssey’s White Hot inserts, the face is extremely soft – so long putts will need to be hit hard. However, it is from around 10ft and in where those having trouble on the greens will certainly notice the benefits of this extremely stable design. The white hot insert does two things; it keeps the ball on line, and keeps it distance on a mis-hit. Absolutely the very best putter I have ever had in my bag it is almost hard to miss putts with this thing. I bought this because I just could not find my line with my old Taylormade Rossa Ghost Daytona Putter. With this I find my line more often than not. The grip on this is amazing. The weight and balance is out standing I no longer sway side to side like with the old one. I have tried other odyssey’s and they are all great especially the 2 ball mallet. This is they only mallet I can hit consistently on line.The soft face provides great control on fast greens, even from long distance. I didn’t even practice with the putter before my first full round with it, but it felt so natural.Only been playing seriously for 4 months. Now with the right equipment I’m 2 putting almost every hole. After 3 rounds I actually sank a 40 footer to save par.
