Sources for Choosing Your Golf Clubs

Article by T.L.Stewart

When purchasing new golf clubs most of us know it is not an easy project, but doing it correctly will pay great dividends in the end.

Research is the key to open up a multitude of avenues including giving some golf clubs a tryout which is essential in making the correct choices.

Keeping this in mind you should be very specific in your choices and make sure you choose the proper resources. Stores specializing in golf products are an excellent choice but you can’t always rely on the store salesman, some know what they are talking and some don’t. Remember the old saying; “buyer beware”.

Following are a few thoughts on searching out the best resources for choosing golf clubs and how take advantage of them.

Since you are reading this article you no doubt are aware of the power of the internet. The internet will provide a multitude of sources dependent on the special features you are looking for including custom clubs made to your specifications. You can find many sources catering to your specific needs.

Just use google or any other search engine. Very Simple. As you look around the web you will find some sites more appealing than others and some providing more information than most. The sites you find that are most interesting and appear to satisfy your needs should be bookmarked for future use.

A word of caution here. It is suggested you stick with the sites you may be familiar with by name or recommended by reliable sources. Your chance of being satisfied with your purchases will be much higher. Also, if you subscribe to or have access to a few golf magazines there is usually an article or section offering guidelines for buying golf clubs or reviews of the latest additions to the market. If you are interested in a major brand it would be a good idea to search the golf magazines or back to the internet for any professional critiques on the golf club of your choice. Reviews are fairly easy to come by. Just go the internet and click on the home pages of the golf magazines or search for “review of xxxx” However, be aware you may run across good and bad reviews so be very selective in making a pro or con decision. Be sure you separate the advertisements from the reviews.

Another great source is your local golf club you play at. I’m sure there are may golfers using some of the same clubs you are interested in and they can provide some excellent performance information. They may even offer to let you try a few.

Another good source is to visit some of the golf forums on the internet. These are folks that have a love for the game and are usually responsive to your questions or when asking for advice.Forums are a source you should actively get involved with. It gives you a chance to meet and share with fellow golfers with the same interest. You can always get some good ideas.

Giving all the above the consideration it deserves keep in mind the best way in choosing a golf club is to try one out yourself. It would be great if you can get one to use on the range, but I know this is not always possible. However, I know several golf stores have hitting nets and the customer is always welcome to try out new golf clubs. Some of them even have equipment that will time the speed of your swing, etc.

All in All there are many sources for meeting your specific needs but remember whatever club you choose it won’t make a difference unless you practice, practice, practice.

Golfing: Practice Makes Perfect Times 10

Golfing: Practice Makes Perfect Times 10

I’ve enjoyed golfing on weekends continually since I was in high school. Over the years, I’ve put in countless hours on the green, at the driving range, and on the putting green. As much as I’d like to be sure that all this difficult work has been the single greatest reason for my persistently less handicap, I have to say that a lot of the credit belongs to the great advances in club and ball innovation that have taken place in the last few of decades. But this technology doesn’t come inexpensive, which is why I do all my browsing around at golf rate cut establishments.

Golf rate cut sites offer name-brand supplies and add-ons for a fraction of the market value that conventional retail outlets charge. Yes, I’m talking about brands that any golfer would be familiar with, such as Callaway, TaylorMade, Ping, and Nike. The costs of a single titanium driver can be a multitude of hundred dollars, so I’ll gladly take whatever savings I can get. All golf price reduction establishments have slightly different pricing policies of course, but I can generally count on paying anywhere between 10 to 40 percent off the manufacturer’s suggested retail expense for my clubs and add-ons.

Even though there are multiple golf mark down stores within driving distance of my house, I prefer to shop online. I’ve found that unless a place by my house is having a significant sale, online golf mark down establishments almost always have better cost levels on everything due to the lower overhead costs involved with maintaining a website versus a physical retail location. But since choosing clubs and other golfing resources is largely dependent on how that items feels in your hands or how it fits your body, an extra step is required here. Before ordering any new products from golf rate cut sites, I go to a nearby shop and test out the prospective supplies. Once I settle on an exact model or size, I can order from a website and save money. This procedure may sound like a lot of extra work, but believe me, it’s worth it.

I save a sufficient amount of money by browsing around at golf markdown shops that I can afford to get higher-grade items once in a while or replace items sooner than is 100 percent necessary. This gives me an advantage when I’m out on the golf course, and the results show up on my scorecard week in and week out.

If you’re a golfer planning to save extra cash on your next equipment purchase, then I suggest you try browsing around at online golf price cut sites. After all, better supplies can really work wonders on your handicap!
