Hottest Golf Drivers Reviews

Golf drivers are used to hit longer shots. The driver, or the 1 Wood, has the lowest loft of any golf club. Loft is the angle of the club face that controls trajectory and affects distance. A driver has a loft between 7 and 12 degrees. Better golfers have traditionally favored drivers with less than 10 degrees of loft, which require a lot more skill to hit. Ourgolfclubs.com brings you the best hottest golf drivers in many shapes and sizes to increase your distance, forgiveness and ball control.

Knowing When You Have Found the Right Golf Clubs for You

Knowing When You Have Found the Right Golf Clubs for You

Article by Ron Jackson

Buying golf equipment may seem like a fairly straight forward task for most people, you want to buy some clubs that will last and are solidly built for the rigours of a round of golf at the weekends. When starting to play golf you may choose a standard set of beginner’s golf clubs that can have features that make it easier to hit the ball straight but also give you a wide range of clubs that will help you out.

There are some golfers though who want to move on from their beginner’s clubs to more advance clubs that are going to give them more control and power on their shots. These clubs can get quite expensive as you progress and so it is important when you go to buy a new set of clubs or an individual club that you take your time in choosing as well as making sure they are a good fit for your style of play and feel good to use.

If you look at two clubs by different manufacturers you’ll see that each brand produces different styles of golf club and even buying a driver can present you with a wide range of different shapes and sizes that can help you when on the course but could also hinder your progress if you buy a club that isn’t comfortable to use.

Some people may prefer a particular brand such as Nike or Ping as these companies have been making golf clubs for many years and are expected to produce high quality clubs that are durable as well as accurate. If you haven’t bought any of these clubs before then you may want to see if you can practice with a club before buying, whilst some retailers won’t allow you to take the club out and start hitting some golf balls there are some club shops that will have a demo model that you can take on to the driving range.

Making sure that you are comfortable with the club is important as you’ll be using it for a long time and likely be spending a lot of money on them as well. Some golfers will return clubs or trade them in when buying replacements and this may be a way to try and cut some money off the cost of your golf clubs as many golf discount stores sell these clubs that may have hardly been used and be in perfect condition.

Make sure you take good care of your clubs and make sure they are stored somewhere secure when you aren’t using them. Golf clubs can last you many years or only a few and it all depends on how well you look after them.

Protect your valuable golf clubs as well as many other expenses with golf insurance policies, there are also golf travel insurance policies for those taking their clubs on tour.

How to Find Cheap Womens Golf Clubs

How to Find Cheap Womens Golf Clubs

Article by Stewart Green

Womens golf clubs are available in all shapes and sizes, so to speak. You can literally find cheap ones wherever you go. Whether you are looking at your local sports stores or on the internet, you’re bound to find cheap clubs for women. One thing that you have to do first is to get fitted. No cheap club will do you justice nor an expensive club be worth the money if it is not made solely for the person who will use it. That being said, try to get some opinions from the experts – and there are no better people than the outfitters.

When you’re talking to fitters, you always have to keep their recommendations in mind. From them, you can get neat ideas as to what golf clubs you should use. The different recommendations of different fitters will give you more choices. For instance, if one suggests a Mizuno while the other would suggest a Titleist, then you can choose the latter since it would be a cheaper club while the former is better in terms of quality. Don’t take my word for it – those are merely examples. The choice is still up to you.

At any rate, you can try on the clubs that they suggest for size. If the fitter you’re talking to is in a golf gear store, and the club he recommended is in their inventory, you can try to do a few air swings. If the club feels right in your hands, then you can mark it down as a potential purchase. Do the same thing for the other suggestions, and then go back home with a list of what you may buy soon; but not without taking note of the prices as well.

Google the clubs that you listed down, and try to see which method of purchase is cheaper. If you can find cheaper clubs online, which you likely will, then you can purchase the clubs from online. If the prices of online and offline clubs are similar, then it is better that you buy them from your local store, since it will be more convenient if you need repairs and such.

Finding cheap womens golf clubs is easy. The hard part is knowing what club is for you. It is easy to find a golf club that you like, but the club doesn’t like you. For you to play great golf, you have to make sure that you are swinging the clubs that’s meant for you.

Most Famous Putters Part One

They say you drive for show and putt for dough, so that would make the putter many player’s “money club,” right? This week, we’re going to look at famous money clubs.

Putters, as we all know, come in many shapes and sizes. Putters (cheap golf clubs)can be shaped like Futura Phantoms or the Ping Docs and look perfectly normal sitting next to a Ping Answer or a Bullseye. Putters may be the most personal instrument in a player’s bag, with everything from the lie angle, face angle, grip, shaft length, and weight coming into play and combining to give that magical sensation – feel – to the player.

When the tournament is on the line, what famous putters (Ping Golf Clubs)stroked some famous putts? Find out in this week’s edition of Trap Five.

Number Five: PING

Karsten Solheim was a General Electric engineer and a golf nut. His engineering background and his passion for golf combined in his Phoenix garage where he began working on his putting game not by practicing his stroke, but by creating a new putter. Though he made several playable prototypes, only one made it out of his garage in the end: the original PING putter, so named because of the sound the putter made when it struck a golf ball.

Solheim’s Anser putter – a revision of the original PING – was used by Julius Boros to win the Phoenix Open in 1967, and sparked a trend that’s continued to this day: heel-toe weighting in putters (and perimeter weighting in all other clubs). Solheim’s PING putters spread the weight towards the heel and toe to minimize distance loss on off-center hits, effectively enlarging the sweet spot. Almost every putter today uses heel-toe weighting.

Number Four: Wilson 8802

Arnold Palmer made it famous, but one of the best putters of all time – Ben Crenshaw – elevated the Wilson 8802 to a special place in golf’s history. Nicknamed “Little Ben,” Crenshaw’s 8802 was with him through thick and thin, but a replica was used to win the improbable one in 1995 (see comments below). Said Crenshaw’s dad of Ben’s original 8802, “It was just a putter in Harvey Penick’s shop. Ben felt it and waggled it around for a while. ‘Dad, I’d like to have it,’ he said, so I bought it for him. That club’s been the best provider in the family.” The putter cost Crenshaw’s dad .

The 8802 is a simple putter with no heel-toe weighting to speak of and a very clean, simple look. Its design may have been inspired by Calamity Jane (see below), and it won nearly as many majors. Arnold Palmer used the 8802 (and a small revision, the 8813) to win several of his majors, and Phil Mickelson has always seemed to putt best with his remake (currently made by his sponsor Callaway – i.e. Odyssey) of the venerable 8802.
