Even though Las Vegas visitors are typically urged to stay amongst the high-priced glamour and glitz of the Strip, there are a couple of beautiful hideaways for RVs and campers just a few miles away from all of the noise and commotion.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort is located just south of the Strip and has a large variety of amenities that make guests feel right at home. The park offers large campsites nestled in beautifully landscaped areas. All of the hook-ups you’d expect to have are readily available. In addition to the standard conveniences, the resort offers an on-site licensed massage therapist, a spacious family pool, secluded adult pool and spa areas, and a complete fitness center. There is also a restaurant, banquet facilities, and a convenience store located on site. Guests can enjoy complimentary internet access and cable television. An 18-hole putting golf course is also available. Large groups are encouraged to stay here. Cabs and shuttles to the Strip are available around the clock. Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort provides and excellent and comfortable place to stay without the high costs of the typical Vegas vacation destination.

Another popular destination is the Hitchin’ Post RV Park, located just north of the city of Las Vegas. This park offers all of the standard amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi access, large pull-thru sites, cable television with HBO, an extremely large laundry facility, and two dog runs. The Hitchin’ Post’s claim to fame is their newly remodeled Hitchin’ Post Saloon and Steakhouse. A number of traditional meals and a diverse selection of beer and wine are available at very reasonable prices. If you’re looking to scratch your gambling itch, the bar area also offers video poker and slot machines.

While in Las Vegas, be sure to enjoy the area’s natural beauty and landmarks. The world-famous Hoover Dam is located nearby, with guided tours offered all year round. Constructed in the 1930s, the dam is a marvel of modern engineering and technology and is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. Just west of the city, you’ll find the 180 acre Las Vegas Springs Preserve. This site offers a number of trails, a museum, and outdoor concert facilities. Historic Lake Mead National Recreation Area is also nearby. Here you will find an amazing colorful contrast of desert, rock, and water. The area offers a rich archeological experience that is difficult to surpass.
