  1. @bayleemckinney just start having a beer when you turn 18 or 21,depending
on whether you’re in us or canada. dont drink too much,it will just ruin your game and cause you problems outside of the course. just have one on the front 9 and one on the back 9 and relax..cheers kid

  2. @bayleemckinney you might be opening the club face too much, or your may be too close to the ball when you are swinging.

  3. When the feelings right I’m gonna run all night I’m gonna run to you Martin, to buy tour striker.

  4. 3:39 of the video you probably messed up so you stopped the video and waited for your perfect swing…not good

  5. @bayleemckinney as well as maybe your grip on the grip is too open, i used to have the same problem then i got a few lessons and the teacher helped me with that, try close the your hand grip more for example if your right handed put your left hand, so that the left hand thumb is directly down the middle of it and the right hand thumb close that hand a lot so that the thumb of your right hand cuts directly to the left on top of the left hand thumb 🙂 hope that helps

Hit down on the ball and don’t try to lift it. If you do this correctly the divot will be in front of were the ball was sitting. In turn this is what causes back spin. The steeper the angle the more back spin. Patients this will take time.

And that is basically the perfect golf swing. write this down and watch Tiger’s swing on youtube from the front view where he is facing towards you and also when you see his back swing clearly. This is the secret on hitting it straight.

At impact the steep motion you created with your arms and hands ahead of the clubhead traps the ball and rides up the grooves and goes off like a rocket creating back spin as well. The “toe in the air” sequence by cmartingolf is part of a wrist role sequence in your swing. On the back swing bring the toe in the air and role it back at impact. When done correctly the clubhead will be closed on the finish of your swing.

Come close to your back leg creating a solid impact instead of a glancing blow for a slice and follow through out towards your target and relax. These whole movements will move your body 180 degrees on the down swing. To get an idea set up and bring your arms up level at your shoulders and coil 90 degrees back and 180 degrees forward. Your arms and shoulders create a triangle. Keep that triangle through the entire swing.

At this point your hips should be at the ball in your stance. This is key for a powerful swing. The next part is tricky, but if your positioned correctly from the top of the swing it shouldn’t be too difficult. Visualize it this way. Your arms and hands, which should be ahead of the clubhead along with your hips and body in a steep angle for impact.

You are coming across it on the down swing leaving the club head open. Look at how the pros bring the club back. They keep their front arm completely straight on the back swing. Keep your arm straight and coil your body 90 degrees with the club to keep it on the inside. Your shoulder should be under your chin. When you come back down coil your body back from the feet up until your shoulders start to bring the club head down.

  11. @bayleemckinney Im 12 and have been playing for 10 years, my dad was a professional, and i had the same problems a few months ago. What my dad told me was to get in an athletic stance, (bend your knees a little) and act as if you had a basketball in your hand. keep your head down and bring the “ball” back as if you were handing the ball to someone, then pass the ball out in front. do that a few times before every say 3 swings at the range. You are probably spiining out which is why they slice.

  12. @bayleemckinney
i use to have this problem, the main thing you can do is just square your feet, when you try play for the slice and move your left foot back, this caused more slice,

  13. @bayleemckinney My old coach, George Knudson, use to have me do a drill where I focused on getting the “toe in the air” on the back swing and on the through swing with a bunch of half shots. Don’t try and help the ball in the air and let the face rotate from “toe in the air” on the backswing to “toe in the air” on the through swing. Let the face rotate naturally on the circle of your swing. Cheers and good luck.
