If you have a DVD movie and want to upload parts of it to your website, so how do you handle it?

As I know, you can use a DVD ripper, like Leawo DVD Ripper, to rip the DVD to your computer hard disk. Then use a converter that can convert DVD video file to FLV(Why FLV? Because FLV is your best bet). To upload it to your website, you also need to make a Flash video player to control the playback of the Flash video files. You can do it in Adobe Flash CS3 with actionscript. Finally, upload all the web pages and Flash files to your hosting server.

However, all these things seem to be a little complicated to a beginner on this subject. Though there are a lot of DVD to website solution products but I am talking about one for free. iPod and iPhone both support only MP4 video, if your download file is already mp4 video, you can drag it into iTunes library and sync it to your iPod or iPhone directly.

The iPod can only play H.264 or MPEG-4 encoded video’s so you need to ensure that your video is in one of these formats before transferring it to your iPod. These video file’s should end with either of these file extensions; mp4, .m4v or .mov. If the video you want to transfer to your iPod isn’t in either of these formats, there are free video conversion tools available online which are easy to use that will convert your video to one of these formats.

For the first step, you need to go on the iTunes’s software application. Click on the File menu, then click on Add File to Library then select the video you want to put on your iPod.

Alternatively you can drag and drop your video file into your iTunes library if you prefer. Next open your video file then click on “Videos” in the Source section. “Videos” is located just under “Podcasts”.

Finally you need to sync the video to your iPod. Ensure that you’ve connected your iPod to your computer via the USB cable then in the iTune’s software, drag the video file onto the iPod logo and then release your mouse when “+” appears around the cursor. Your video file will then be transferred to your iPod automatically. You can then enjoy video playback on your iPod.
