PGA Tour Introduces New Putting Statistic

PGA Tour Introduces New Putting Statistic

Article by Discountwholesalegolf

Dean Wilson always believed he was a good putter, whether he was in Japan or on the PGA Tour. The trick was finding proof of that in the statistics.

He finished no higher than 31st in putts per round over the last five years, but Wilson never put much stock in that because it doesn’t account for how often a player is putting for birdie or getting up-and-down from just off the green. He once was 13th in average putts per greens in regulation, although that didn’t account ping anser for proximity to the hole. So the 41-year-old from Hawaii was not surprised when told about a new PGA Tour statistic that became official Monday, one that uses Shotlink data over an entire year to measure how well a player putts compared with the field. The statistic officially is called “Strokes Gained-Putting,” and it’s the first time in 15 years that the PGA Tour has introduced a new core statistic. Wilson would have been among the top 11 putters in four of the last five years. “I always felt like I’m a good putter,” Wilson said. “I’m confident in my technique and the theories I use. I just don’t know what the correct way would be to measure it. They’re all skewed one way or another. I could never think there was another way to do it.” That’s where Mark Broadie comes in. Broadie, who plays off a 4 handicap when he’s not working as a Columbia Business School professor, has been crunching Shotlink numbers for the better part of a ping anser forged irons decade as he tries to find the most meaningful measure of a tour player’s game. “A good putting stat should provide a pure measure of putting skill,” said Broadie, who developed the stat and then honed it with a team from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His philosophy is simple — the quality of every shot should be based on where it started and where it finished. The math is a little more complicated. It starts with determining how many average putts it takes a PGA Tour player from each distance. Broadie discovered that at just under 8 feet, players have a 50 percent chance of making the putt — in other words; the average stroke for that length is 1.5. The average gets higher for the longer putts. So if Nick Watney makes an 8-foot putt, he will have gained 0.5 strokes on the field. If he takes two putts from that distance, he will have lost 0.5 strokes to the field. The average for a 20-foot putt is about 1.9. If he makes the putt, he gains 0.9 on the field, whereas if he misses the putt, he loses only 0.1 strokes. Add these up at the end of each round and you have “Putts Gained.” Watney is used as an example because he is the current tour leader at 1.215. All that number means is ping anser irons that Watney gains an average of about 1.2 strokes on the field through his putting. The numbers might not make a lot of sense, but the names do. Luke Donald would have led the tour in this statistic the last two years. Ben Crane would have led the tour twice. Tiger Woods for years was regarded one of golf’s best putters. With this statistic, he ranked among the top 3 in three of the last five years he was eligible. Others who were around the top 10 just about every year were players whom their peers consider good putters — Woods, Steve Stricker, Donald, Crane, Brian Gay, Aaron Baddeley — and yes, even Dean Wilson. The tour awards a medal to each player who leads a major statistical category, just as driving distance and greens in regulation. Starting this year, “putts gained” will determine who wins the putting category. It’s not a perfect system, although it’s designed to take out the bias from the previous putting stats.More information at http://www.ourdiscountgolf.com

Smashing It Straight

Smashing It Straight

Some players drive the ball 250 yards or more every time, but they can’t keep it on the fairway. The harder they try to stay on the fairway, the more they hook it. As a result, they find themselves in a clump of trees or under a bush, without a good second shot, hurting their golf handicap. They’ve taken golf lessons and read golf tips. And they’ve tried throttling back. But they still can’t cure their big hook.

If that’s you, read on. There’s a simple way to cure the problem. All you have to do is make a minor change in your grip—one pioneered by golfing great Ben Hogan. The change takes a little getting used to, as most adjustments do, so you’ll have to hit a few buckets of balls to get comfortable with it. But once you do, you’ll hit the ball straighter than before with just as much power. And you’ll shave strokes off your golf handicap.

A Smasher’s Instinct

Hogan had a smasher’s instinct. When he was on the tee, the right-hander didn’t want to just drive the ball well. He wanted to crush it. He wanted to hit it out of sight. And for a small guy, he hit it a long way. But like many big hitters, Hogan had problems with direction. Whenever he tried to throttle back, he just made things worse. Throttling back just wasn’t in his nature.

But a simple change in his grip transformed him from Captain Hook to Captain Power Fade. Hogan realized that by weakening his grip a bit, he could control his hook and still hit the ball as hard as he wanted. Rather than fight a strong, three-knuckle grip, he decided to change grips. He turned his left hand so that he only saw one knuckle at address while his right palm faced the target. The change let him smash the ball without hooking it.

The change was exactly what Hogan needed. It transformed his game. By the time he retired in 1971, he was not only one of the most feared golfers of his time, he also one of the best of all time. After turning pro in 1929, he won 64 PGA Tour championships. Of these, nine were major championship wins—4 masters, 2 U.S Opens, 1 British Open, and 2 PGA Championships.

Strong Forearms Helped

Keep in mind though that Hogan had very strong forearms. They allowed him to take a weak grip and still square the clubhead at impact. If you don’t have strong forearms, you may want to adjust your grip so that you see one and one-half knuckles on your left hand at address. Then place your right hand on the club so that the palm is facing the target, like Hogan did.

Like most changes, this new grip takes getting used to. Hit balls on the practice range with the grip before trying it on the course. You’ll probably slice a few before getting the hang of it. But the more you let your right side in the swing, if you’re right-handed, the smaller the slice will be. Vice versa for left-handers. And since you can’t hook it, swing as aggressively as you like. You’ll still hit a fade. And you’ll probably still end up on the fairway.

Henry Cotton’s Tire Drill

To get used to hitting the ball with a weak left-handed grip, try one of Henry Cotton’s favorite drills. Cotton was a great player and teacher. He got his students used to hitting with a weak left-handed grip by having them hit an old tire. Here’s how:

Grab an old iron. Grip it with your left hand, so that no more than one and one-half knuckles show. Lay the tire down where you’d tee the ball. Now take some swings with your left arm only. If you’re left-handed, use your right arm.

How can you tell if you’re closing the clubface when you hit the tire? Don’t worry, you’ll know. If the clubface is closed, you’ll feel solid contact. If it’s open, you’ll feel an extra shock in your arm. Use this drill sparingly to prevent injury. You don’t want to injure yourself during a practice session.

Mastering this change in grip conquers the hook for big hitters. Of course, taking a few golf lessons and reading golf tips can’t hurt, either. But the change in grip is something you can do right now. Just have a little patience. The change feels strange at first, but once assimilated, it helps lower golf handicaps. It also puts the fun back in driving the ball.

Is Tiger Out the Woods

Is Tiger Out the Woods

Is Tiger Out the Woods

by Relationship Expert, D Ivan Young

The only thing America loves more than it’s sports heros is the controversy surrounding them. At age 34, Tiger Woods has won 71 majors, still ranked number 1 in the world after having his worst year ever on the PGA tour, and is the first athlete ever to earn more than a billion dollars in income.  Unlike the average American, Tiger doesn’t have any financial worries, he can do what he wants, when he wants, how he wants. He is in what many deem to be an enviable position. Pretty much, Tiger can have anything his heart desires. With that stated, you would more than likely ask me, D. Ivan Young, Relationship Expert – why do you feel sorry for him?  The answer is simple. Money can’t buy love.  Without real authentic love, life means nothing.  With all the assets Tiger has, he’s an emotionally bankrupt lonely man.

“What profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul” is much more than a cliche.  It’s a grim reality for many successful people. Despite your profession, age, race or gender, being mentally and emotional broken can devastate the greatest champion.  Woods is no Exception. On May 5, 2006, his role model, commandant, mentor, best friend Earl Woods died. Tiger was devastated. Making matters worse Earl was also his Father. Earl was to Tiger what an anchor is to a ship in the midst of a storm.

From that day to now Tiger is nothing more than a lost cub.  From May 2006 to now he has been trying to find friends, bliss and contentment in all the wrong places. While searching for happiness, Tiger Woods lost himself.  He has become the PGA’s prodigal son. For the average person, losing a parent is difficult enough. But, when everyone around you sees you as potential revenue source; and you have lost the only person that kept you in check while reminding you of your purpose. It becomes increasingly easy to confuse human being with deity.  Especially when everyone around you has a hidden agenda and benefits from engaging your self destruction.

Like Tiger, I’m an only child; like tiger, my dad was everything to me; like Tiger, when my father passed I attempted to fill an unquenchable void with people, places and things only to find myself empty and more lonely; like Tiger, nobody truly understood how lonely, heart broken and alone I felt.  I could only imagine what my self destructive spiral would have morphed into had I had unlimited resources, not to mention a bunch of greedy self serving hangers on.  As a Life Coach, and Relationship Expert I’ve seen people self destruct with much less. Hurting people hurt people.

Though the World is a cruel stage for a fallen champion, the real victims aren’t his fans, but his wife and children.  Tiger, Elin and the two children are casualties of a wounded and hurting heart. I remember attending a horse race. The horse bumped into another horse, the jockey and the horse took a nasty fall.  Much to my surprise the emergency personnel ran hastily to horse. After checking the horse, they continued to check the jockey. At that very moment, I noticed the only thing most people were concerned about was their selfish agendas.  I haven’t been to a horse race since.  Tiger and his family are being treated in a likened manner. The press has exploited this broken situation to the extent possible. There is a serious lesson here. Never should we prize things over people. It doesn’t matter how many titles we win, how much we make, or our ranking on a board. If we forfeit the people that matter the most, what have we truly won. All of us help create Tiger woods, now let’s help his family and him heal. Though the settlement is measured in millions, there are no winners here. This divorce is a wake up call for all of us. The next time you feel you’ve won at anything make sure it’s not at the expense of those you love.

How to Play Golf – The Importance of Your Go-To Shot

How to Play Golf – The Importance of Your Go-To Shot

Article by Stephen Simmons

What Is A Go-To Shot?

Your go-to shot, is a shot you have practiced many times, and because it is repeatable has the greatest probability of success under the circumstances. You’ve seen Tiger hit his “stinger” many times under the stress of tournament conditions. You have seen many examples of the go-to shot when watching a PGA Tour telecast.

Tour players are willing to sacrifice significant distances to increase the odds of hitting the fairway. These players understand that the probability of hitting the green from 200 yards away in the fairway is much greater than hitting the green from 150 yards away in the deep rough, a deep fairway bunker, or behind the trees. They are willing to choose a club, even an iron, that increases the probability of hitting the fairway.

Finding Your Go-To Shot

Finding your go-to shot happens during a practice session on the range. This practice session needs to have your full attention and should not be part of your normal range practice.

Start by analyzing the range for structures that can be used as imaginary boundaries. Two greens or flag positions would be an example. The structures need to be the approximate width of a typical fairway on your course. One flag will mark the left rough, the left most position you can hit the ball without going into the rough. The right flag defines the right most fairway position. Your goal is to imagine a golf hole on the range that can be used to evaluate the success of several shots.

The next step is to select the longest club you think will be used on the greatest number of tee shots during a typical round of golf. Most golfers start with the driver. If you are a beginner golfer you can save yourself some time by starting with a three or five wood. Most golfers do not have the fundamentals to use the driver as their go-to shot. Even Tiger Woods has a go-to shot other than a driver. For 99% of us, the driver serves as a starting point that will not end up as our go-to shot.

Hit ten balls at your imaginary hole. Measure the results of the ten shots. How many shots stayed on the fairway and did not roll into the rough? If you hit more than 7 drives that stayed in the fairway you can congratulate yourself and then re-evaluate your imaginary hole to make sure that it is not too wide. You want this test to be difficult enough to really help you find a shot that you can rely on when the pressure is on. Your go-to shot should have a success percentage of at least 70 percent. Chances are that your success percentage with the driver was less than 70 percent, so go to the next club in your test, the three wood. Hit ten more balls using the three wood and measure the results.

Continue this process until you find a club that you can use that will get the ball into the fairway at least 70 percent of the time. You may find that you can only keep short irons in the fairway because your shot dispersion is to wide.

Identifying Your Ball Flight Tendency

The first time you try this test you may find that your shot dispersion is all over the range, some right and some left. The success of your go-to shot will be higher if you can identify your most natural ball flight tendency.

For Kenny Perry, his natural ball flight tendency is a right to left draw. The process of finding his go-to shot would be to aim down the right side of the hole and rely on his natural shot shape to curve the ball to the left and into the middle of the fairway. For a left to right player that hits a fade, the process would be the opposite.

In both of these cases the player is maximizing the space the ball can curve in the air, roll after landing, while staying in the fairway. All great players learn how to eliminate one half of the course or the other. It might seem that aiming down the middle of the fairway is your best option, however, that only gives you half of the golf hole to work with. Ben Hogan learned how to eliminate the left side of the hole which gave him the entire width of the fairway to work with. Jack Nicklaus also hit most of his shots with a left to right ball flight.

It will be much easier for you to find and practice a go-to shot if you can find your natural shot shape. If you hit a slice because you have an over the top club path, play your slice until you can straighten your shots.

Practicing Your Go-To Shot

For beginner golfers it is important to work with your PGA Professional to find your most natural ball flight pattern. Your goal should be to find a simple golf swing that repeats itself with reasonable certainty. If you want to change your pattern over time, work on that change during your practice sessions. Learn how to play golf by maximizing your opportunities for success. Learn how to play golf with your most natural ball flight tendency; right to left, or left to right.

For more accomplished players find the shot that has the highest probability for success. Your go-to shot will save you many dollars if you gamble or will help you win more competitions as a tournament golfer. Your biggest challenge will be learning a second go-to shot; the shot you can rely on if your primary go-to shot is not an option. What are you going to do if your primary right to left shot is blocked by a very large tree guarding the right side of the hole? Have you found a go-to left to right shot that can be played under these circumstances? If you can’t hit a left to right shot with any level of reasonable accuracy, what are your options for shooting the lowest number on the hole?

Regardless of your skill level, you need to practice your go-to shots during every practice session. You don’t have to hit a lot of go-to practice balls but you need to hit enough that keeps your confidence as high as possible so when it comes time to use the shot your ready.

You will also want to keep searching for the longest possible shot that you can rely on from the tee box. You may start out with a 2 iron as your go-to shot from the tee and then club up to a three wood with practice.

Go-to shots should not be limited to tee shots. You need to have a go-to fairway approach shot. and you need to have a go-to short game shot. Your golf scores will be lower, if during a round of golf, you only play golf shots that have been practiced on the range. Play golf like a pro. Find and practice your go-to shot.

Tiger Woods News and the Media World

Tiger Woods News and the Media World

Sometimes I wonder, is this just Tiger Woods’ World and we just so happen to live in it too?  I am sure any citizen living in the United States that has watched at least 3 minutes of news on any major media outlet over the past several months can recall that Tiger Woods cheated on his now estranged wife Elin Nordegren, right?

Well, if not, here it is. Back in late November of 2009, Tiger Woods was injured in a one-car accident outside of his home, near the Orlando, Florida area during the very early hours of the morning.  Early reports suggested that Woods crashed into a tree, just yards from his driveway and that wife Elin had smashed a window open with a golf club to get to him.

The mainstream and regional media outlets went crazy with running this story all day long, as it soon became worldwide news that the greatest golfer in the world, Tiger Woods, had been in a car accident.  My initial thoughts were, “Oh, my God! I hope Tiger is okay,” but then as the story unfolded, it seemed odd that Elin would smash his window open with a golf club to get to him. I then began to think, there is more to this story, they probably got into a very serious argument and she just lost it, chased him out of the house with a golf club, and then as Woods began to drive away, Elin smashed in his car window with the golf club, most likely assisting in causing the accident involving Tiger.

Then over the next few days, more news broke out as he had been cheating on his wife Elin with multiple mistresses over the years, as one-by-one began to come forward.  Shortly after everything came out into the public, Tiger gave a public apology to his wife, family, fellow golfers, and fans, as he withdrew himself from the PGA Tour and competitive golf in order to concentrate on his family and seek therapy for his “sex addiction.”

So, now that Tiger Woods was out of the professional golf scene, self-admitted into a sex therapy center, and was seemingly on track to rekindle all with wife Elin, his family, fellow golfers, and fans, the media was relentless in covering everything about Tiger Woods and literally ripping his life apart.  More porn stars, party girls, cocktail waitresses were coming out very vocally in the media and demanding all sorts of things from Tiger Woods, and as ridiculous as they were, the media continued to allocate hours and hours to these “opportunist” women.

I believe that society does look up to sports icons like Tiger Woods, who has inspired millions with his athleticism, charitable giving, and more. Yet, he made a mistake, actually several of them over the course of a few years. Tiger let fame, wealth, and opportunity corrupt him, as he fell prey to the many vices that surround him daily.  However terrible it all was, there as been much worse acts committed by multiple celebrities, politicians, and athletes over the years, yet none of them have received anything close to the amount of attention played against Tiger Woods.

I am not suggesting that Tiger Woods should get a free pass on his wrong-doings, yet what he did is over now, and it’s been nearly eight months since the story broke out, yet Tiger Woods cheating on his wife is still a main subject in the popular media today. Really guys? For instance, when Tiger Woods was recently in Ireland for a pro-am golf outing, he was hounded by the press about his “cheating” and “mistakes” he made.  Tiger is there to play “golf,” not answer to personal life matters with someone like, Dr. Phil.  Obviously he is going to be paying for his “mistakes” financially and emotionally for the rest of his life, i.e. 0 million in a divorce settlement with Elin about to be finalized.

Maybe one of Tiger’s bigger mistakes was getting married so young? It happens to millions of people worldwide, they marry early on, realize they maybe should of waited longer, and/or do stupid things like cheat on the one you supposedly love and wish to be with the rest of your life.  But to be dragged through the mud for months is just getting very old to have to see and hear daily!

Not many people do take into account the many millions Tiger Woods’ charity has given out over the years and all the good he does for society and children worldwide.  Most people believe in second chances.  I think it is worth at least sitting on the sidelines and seeing how Tiger Woods will bounce back… if at all. But, he should be given a fair shot to do so in the mean time by the media, fellow golfers, fans, and even family.

So, when Tiger is at a golf tournament, questions should be about his “golf game,” and NOT about cheating on his wife, etc.  When in public and away from a golf course, Tiger Woods is fair game for scrutiny and questions about his personal life, even though it’s none of our business.

All I am saying is that the media should be covering Tiger Woods golf news, since that is all he is doing now. His personal life, we pretty much know all there is to know already, so, thank you mainstream media for the 24/7 coverage to date that Tiger cheated on his wife, he may have a love child with porn star, or another alleged mistress (opportunist) claims relationship with him, and so much more.

There should be some balance in reporting on Tiger Woods golf, charitable, and personal life news… I am saying is that people at large are getting very sick of hearing the same old news everyday. Hopefully, the media will catch a clue and move on like the rest of us…

TaylorMade R11 Driver Activate the Three Dimensions to Distance. The white crown color and black PVD face provides optimum contrast against the ground to make the R11 easier to aim. This advantage is even more pronounced in lower light, such as when the tee box is in shade or shadow, on overcast days or when the sun is low in the morning and in the evening. The crown color also eliminates high-intensity “hot spots” caused by reflected sunlight that afflicts gloss-finish metalwoods.

Extensive Tour Feedback Influences Design, Shaft PropertiesThe R11 was designed with significant feedback from tour players and the unification of three major driver technologies, including ASP, has been extremely well-received; we expect it to be the No. 1 model very quickly after introduction on the PGA Tour. And, like all TaylorMade drivers, it features Inverted Cone Technology for higher ball speed on off-center hits. The Taylormade R11 Driver includes two weight cartridges weighing 10-grams and 1-gram. To create a neutral bias, install the heavy weight in the toe, for a draw bias, put the heavy weight in the heel. If a more neutral setting is desired, 4 and 6-gram weights are available separately. I can’t speak to performance aspects of the R11 driver, because I was only able to hit it indoors at the TaylorMade Performance Lab. What I can tell you, is it produces a great sound at impact and feels great. I’ll have an in-depth review of the R11 driver at a later date, when I can play it in real world playing conditions.

You Don’t Have to Be Bubba Watson or John Daly to Hit the Golf Ball 300 Yards.

You Don’t Have to Be Bubba Watson or John Daly to Hit the Golf Ball 300 Yards.

Article by Sean D

The average distance of the top 100 Golfers in the world is 280 Yards….these guys are the best players in the world and they aren’t hitting it that much further than the average golfer (AND the fairways on the PGA Tour are probably the same speed as most golf courses’ greens).

SO, what does this mean for you? Well, I’ve broken down the steps you can take that will instantly improve your driving distance. There’s nothing stopping you to averaging what the pros do!

1. Get a Driver with a Higher Loft- My buddy used to have a 7.0 degree Driver (I’m not sure why exactly – maybe he thought it was cool) and used to average 270 yards off the tee. He switched to a 9.5 degree Driver and now averages 290+. – A higher loft gives you more carrying distance and the same amount of roll; however, it needs to be fitted properly to your swing in order to reap the benefits.

2. A Driver that is Custom-Fitted – Take the time to get your Driver fitted properly by going to a Golf Shop and working with a professional. If you can’t afford a new Driver or just bought one, still go and get the shaft optimized for your swing. – By doing just this, you can gain an extra 20-yards overnight.

3. Having the Proper Setup- Wide stance (just past shoulder width apart)- Shoulders at an angle (back shoulder is lower than the front) allowing you to hit the ball on your upswing (higher trajectory = more distance)!- Ball positioned off the front toe.- Flare out your front toe (at a 45 degree angle – no further) forcing you to clear your hips and lower body more quickly. You’ll notice the difference.

4. Confidence- Most of the time when golfers hit bad shots it’s because they are thinking too much about the mechanics of their swing vs. the execution or “emotion” of the shot about to be played.- Focus on your confidence – meaning that in your mind, you know that you’re going to step up and hit it long and straight down the middle. You will consistently hit better shots doing this vs. thinking about how far to take the club back or to make sure you follow through correctly.

BONUS: Learn to Hit a Draw- It’s a fact – a draw or hook travels further than a fade or slice. If you can learn to hit a draw you WILL add at least 10 yards to your drives. – Close your stance, bring the club back inside, and fully release your hands.- One thing to be cautious of is that a draw is more difficult to control than a fade, which means that the odd time your draw will turn into a hook (this happens even to the pros). My recommendation is to not hit a draw all the time, but to utilize it when you need a bit of extra distance.

The Secret of Improving Your Golf Game is Sports Hypnosis

The Secret of Improving Your Golf Game is Sports Hypnosis

Would you like to Drive the ball 300 yards and putt for birdies on every hole? Sports Hypnosis can help you get there. In fact, it’s most likely the only thing that can help you get there. Get ready for the answers to the most asked questions about sports hypnosis because I’m going to spell it all out in this article. I’ll talk about what’s needed for change, the homework you will have to do and why hypnosis is the preferred tool for quick and lasting change.

How can I improve my game?

If you have been practicing and practicing, beating balls at the driving range and not getting anywhere, then you know that what I am about to say is the truth: practice doesn’t help! You just keep hitting the ball in the same way over and over. The reason is, practice makes permanent.

All of the golfers on the PGA tour have grown up visualizing the golf swing. They know how to change their swing to suit the occasion because they have mastered the mental game. The mental game extends far beyond just having a good attitude. The real secret to the mental game is the ability to see and feel the golf swing needed to create a shot shape that will land the ball on the green and bring it to a stop. In very real terms, the mental part of golf programs the body to behave in specific ways. That is how golfers are able to pull off incredible drives and amazing approaches.

But let’s look at the difference between the average golfer’s swing and a professional’s swing. Yes, there swing is faster. This accounts for the distance. Yes there ball’s flight path is more predictable. This is because they get the ball on the right spot on the clubface which came from the right angle of approach. It really doesn’t matter what you do on the backswing as long as you connect with the ball on the middle of the clubface and swing on the right path or from the right angle.

That said, most golf swings are essentially similar. The real difference is fractions of an inch or seconds. This is known as timing. The time the club head reaches the ball should be fractionally different in order to produce a more optimal flight path of the ball. This is most apparent when we really try to rip one and the harder we swing the wilder the slice or hook.

So visualization is the answer?

Yes, and no. Visualizations purpose is to help you focus inwardly and program your body to perform. This is a form of self hypnosis and can be used to get you into the zone, imagine the perfect ball flight and the swing you will need to make. It will also help you fix that slice or hook and over time help you swing faster and faster while maintaining your timing.

The key to visualization is to do it regularly. Don’t just visualize when you are playing golf. Visualize for five to ten minutes every day. See yourself playing a hole perfectly. See and feel every shot. Watch the ball fly toward the green with pinpoint accuracy. Start preparing your mind and body to respond to your desires.

How can hypnosis help my golf game?

Golf is known as a mental game. Hypnosis is a method of reprogramming the subconscious mind – the part of us that controls our muscle memory! Isn’t it obvious how hypnosis can help now?

Hypnosis directly affects the subconscious mind and, coupled with visualization, can give you more confidence in yourself and your game. Then as you play better golf, you start to rely more and more heavily on your new-found power to play golf the way you have always wanted to play. This starts a upward spiraling cycle where your confidence creates increased ability which instills more confidence.

Hypnosis can directly remove the blocks standing in the way of your game and reprogram your mind to, not only swing the club with better timing, but also to allow you to actually learn from your mistakes and practice more effectively. This way, when you go out to the driving range, you can have fun and not feel like you are continually “working on your game.”

Hypnosis can help any athlete refine their ability to play their chosen sport to the best of their potential. Once you realize that the difference between average and professional is tiny fractions of a second, then you realize that the change you need to make is marginal. So if you have been hitting the ball the same way for 20 years, you have to begin to think that the behavior has been ingrained into your subconscious mind. What you need to do is change the pattern and reprogram your brain.
