Watney’s pro¬to¬type AP2 irons(3-P) were stan¬dard length and one degree upright through¬out; two degrees weak in the 3, 4, 5, P and one degree weak in the 6, 7, 8, 9. Accord¬ing to Acush¬net, Wat¬ney decided to put the new irons in the bag after prac¬tic¬ing with them for the first time dur¬ing the Wednes¬day pro-am round.
