The “Putt” is the stroke or shot in golf once your ball has landed on the green. This shot calls for rolling the ball toward the flagstick or cup if the flag has already been removed and is normally made using the putter. A left to right putt will do exactly what it says – go from left to right. This means that you will aim your ball toward a target or line left of the cup and the opposite holds true for a right to left putt. The amount of distance left or right again depends on the severity of the slope of the green. There are also double breaking putts and even triple, which are usually associated with longer putts on very undulating greens, but that is a discussion for another time. When first starting to putt I would advise to aim directly at the cup or flagstick and experiment to get a feel for both speed and direction. These two ingredients of putting are critical to ultimately scoring well at golf. More than half of the total strokes of a persons score are usually made on the putting green.

I would strongly recommend that the beginning golfer spend some time on the practice green before teeing off and checking out the golf videos available on Putting if you want to accelerate your learning curve. It is not as easy as it looks to groove a really good putting stroke without some effort and PRACTICE, which is Key to all aspects of the game!

Jeff has that golf is a “secret” of the movement. The secret are very clear, and can naturally do for those good players. General golf coach this mystery described as “lag.” That the “lag” in the end means? Jeff believes that “lag” can be defined as “drag” or “left behind.” Golf’s Secret is the “ball with both hands until the moment the club driving ability.” In other words, the head lags behind the hands.

Now, Jeff will take you step by step reveal the “mystery.”

Maintain the club head behind the golf swing is the most important foundation. If there is no head lag, and other swing base, such as grip, stations, targeting, there is no importance at all, when playing golf, can not go to management. Sure, the book was written for beginners, but as a Golf Pro, I was pleasantly surprised by how much even an experienced player like myself can take away from this book. The amount of content it (over 240 pages) is unbelievable. I’ll have to admit that the mere amount of pages scared me at first, but the straightforward approach the author took when writing this book made it easy to read, follow, and digest.

The Golf Beginner Guide: What Were the Results?

Unlike the other golf ebooks I have reviewed, this book covers everything there is to know about golf. It will teach you the basics of driving, chipping, and putting down to the finest detail. If you don’t have a good swing, this book covers it. If you lack any kind of foundation in your game, this book will provide you with a sturdy one. If you already have a solid foundation in your game like me, this book will reinforce it.

This book offers beneficial tips in all facets of the game. I really liked the strategy the Golf Beginner Guide covers for its reader. Not only will it tell you how to hit certain shots, it will tell you how to approach them, both mentally and physically. Golf isn’t all about hitting it far and straight, being successful also has a lot to do with knowing when to hit which club, when to have a full swing, when to use a half swing…etc. The Golf Beginner Guide’s index is great and well organized as you will be able to skim back through the book very easily if you are looking to revisit a specific lesson/or topic. This is how I used it for the most part, rather than use it as a book, you can use it as a too/or guide and constantly refer back to it.

The bottom line is, this book is good. This is probably the longest book I’ve read in quite some time (I’m not a big reader) and it wasn’t bad at all. Like I mentioned earlier, it is written in straight-forward language that makes things easy to read and easy to understand. At less than for this book you can’t go wrong. That’s less than a single lesson with a golf pro at your local club or driving range and I can say for sure that this book will offer you more in short and long run than you’ll get out of that lesson.

The Golf Beginner Guide is definitely an investment worth making. It will help you get started as a beginner and make you better as you become more experienced.
