Nowadays, the snow golf is a sport based on golf in the world, but golfers should play over snow (or ice) instead of grass. The “greens” of the golf course are called “whites” and have an ice surface. It is real a white world. And the first European Championship in Snow Golf will be held in Switzerland from Jan 13th – 16th 2011.

But, there will be another snow golf tournament. Do you know the annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament? Some golf reporter said the 6th annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament will take place at the Indian Hills Golf Course.

Earlier, speculations were rife that owing to heavy rainfall, the tournament would be cancelled. Now, it would take a lot more than a record snowfall to keep serious golfers off the course when they want to play golf with their liking TaylorMade R9 SuperMax Irons. So the 6th annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament will take place at the Indian Hills Golf Course at the Murfreesboro Noon Exchange Club on Saturday, 22 January, 2011.

Players during the 6th annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament would use colored golf balls, and there’s no penalty for balls getting lost in the snow. According to the schedule, the participants will start checking-in at 8:30 am, but the contest will officially kick off at 10 am.

And, a fee will be charged from each player, which will include breakfast, lunch, coffee, hot chocolate, range ball, cart rental, green fees and goodie bags. Moreover, a maximum of 144 players will be allowed to play in groups of four and all the participants will have to register in advance.

Tiger Woods showed everyone that he was back at the Masters earlier this month, giving us an epic rally from a five shot deficit to hold a share of the lead in the clubhouse on Sunday.

Then, the comeback became even more impressive when we learned that Woods was playing with injuries to his MCL and Achilles tendon, injuries which figure to sideline the 13-time Masters champ for a few weeks now.

But, don’t take this latest malady to mean that Woods’ goose is cooked on the PGA Tour; in fact, it could be just what he needs to get himself back on track.

Confused? It’s simple, really; Woods’ biggest flaw at Augusta was without a doubt his putter. Woods’ inability to hole putts cost him the tournament, and while the rest of his game looked to be in tip top shape, his putting looked like it was still miles from being back.

Now, he can take as much time as he needs over the next few weeks focusing all his energy on his putting. He can hobble over to the putting green at his Jupiter, Florida estate and just stand there, knocking balls into holes.

The rest of Tigers game was sharper than ever at Augusta; now, he’s basically been given orders to work solely on that aspect of his game which has given him the most trouble. On top of that, it’s not like this injury is really all that serious; it’s a fairly common one for golfers to suffer on the Tour, and Woods himself said it’s nothing more than a minor malady.

The fact is that Tiger Woods is closer to being back than ever, injury or no injury. His putting will come around sooner or later, and now that he’s been ordered to rest his injury, he could take the chance to improve that area of his game.

If he actually manages to figure something out in the next few weeks, don’t be surprised to see him tear apart the U.S. Open on one of his all-time favorite courses.
