Which Of The Top Rated Golf Drivers Would You Put In Your Bag?

Which Of The Top Rated Golf Drivers Would You Put In Your Bag?

Article by Shawni Groezinger

The top ten golf drivers in the market today vary in terms of characteristics and appeal. Certain brands may be considered the best depending on golfers’ capabilities and personal preferences. There are outstanding drivers for seasoned golfers, and there are ultra forgiving options for those with a high handicap. There’s the best budget driver, there’s the brand that is the epitome of cool (with cool celebrity endorsers to boot) and there are those that definitely help golfers realize their full potential. Most professional golfers want a golf driver that has solid technology. It doesn’t make sense to settle for subpar Examples include the Callaway FTiQ, the Williams Golf Players Driver FW32, and the Ping G5 Driver. The latter embodies drivers that are easy to hit. You’d have to make a really bad swing to get a poor result from a driver like the Ping G5, which offers an unyielding, responsive feel and sharp trajectory. Incidentally, Ping has also made innovations in drivers aimed at improving the game of women golfers, especially those who want longer, straighter drives and hit with confidence on any fairway. Indeed, it is the right mixes of equipment that help golfers make the most of their game.

Meantime, drivers like the Callaway FTiQ have been rated as one of the top ten golf drivers, in terms of accuracy, forgiveness, and quality. The tradeoff may be the unusual shape, yet other styles launched in the market, like the X460, offer avid golfers a uniquely balanced, all-titanium option that not only delivers great ball speed, deep drive, and stability, but is’t embarrassing to have in the golf bag. Speaking of looks, a golf driver that seems to have it all, from sleek looks to near-perfect accuracy, to build quality and overall value for money is the TaylorMade R9. As record-setting American pro golfer Jack Nicklaus once said, golf is a game of power. Well, the TaylorMade R9 is one of the drivers that offer power. Some golfers have a love affair with specific brands, and the TaylorMade Tour Burner has figured highly in many players’ lives. Another favored option from Callaway, the Big Bertha Driver, is noted for its oversized head. The all-titanium driver was introduced by Callaway in 1995 and has since undergone product enhancements to suit golfer requirements. Modern technology has made possible greater distance and forgiveness and weight that have been redistributed to the perimeter. Leave it to Callaway to create drivers that’s lightweight yet can increase speed and distance of the ball.

As far as novice players are concerned, key factors when choosing a driver is ease of use. Even newbies out playing golf during weekends want to show off to friends or pros that they can play well, so they invest in a fabulous-looking and powerful driver they can rely on to enhance their game. Those that offer a mix of balance, durability, and ease of use, in all-titanium or combination of titanium and other non-metal materials, emerge as popular options. Indeed, golf drivers and other equipment that combine several characteristics from good shape and length to accuracy, speed, quality and value for money.

The TaylorMade Raylor Hybrid Golf Club – A Review.

The TaylorMade Raylor Hybrid Golf Club – A Review.

Article by Michael LaVaglio

The TaylorMade Raylor has been with us since 1988 and is reputed to be the favorite utility wood amongst players from time immemorial. This club was particularly adept at rescuing those, “gone into the rough”, tee shots and returning them to, or close to, the course. The club’s steel head is rounded and has a very low center of gravity, the sole of the club has a pair of distinctive tracks, the function of these is to assist the club in gliding effortlessly through long grass and at the same time dragging and twisting is resisted. 2009 saw the launch of the hybrid Taylor Made Raylor and it is proving to be a great improvement on the original design. This new Raylor hybrid club is available in two loft angles 19 and 22 degrees. The club has two main attributes that work together to provide its efficiency in making those shots from the rough.1. The leading edge is lightly sharpened and pointed slightly, this permits a sliding action through the grass to address the rear of the golf ball.2. The sole of this club, known as the “Raylor sole”, has a ship’s hull like form, this has the effect of parting the grass blades producing a clean glide swing with little or no resistance or snagging. With the combination of the Raylor sole and the leading edge design there is a 23% reduction in the area of the section of the clubs head that would cause other clubs to stall or twist. The radius of the Raynor sole can also assist you when making shots from sidehill lies. This radius measures 17 degrees as compared to a Burner Rescue hybrid club’s 10 degrees this actually provides an additional 70% extra (heel and toe side) sole relief making a more solid contact with the golf ball when it is under or above your feet. The Raylor hybrid has a RE*AX 65 gram shaft and is an inch more in length than is usual for other TaylorMade Rescue clubs of matching loft angles. This added length adds further assistance to velocity and purchase when attempting shots from the rough.

The Golf Beginner Guide (Review)

The Golf Beginner Guide (Review)

Article by Nick Boynton

The Golf Beginner Guide is a book that can be used by beginners and experienced golfers alike. Sure, the book was written for beginners, but as a Golf Pro, I was pleasantly surprised by how much even an experienced player like myself can take away from this book. The amount of content it (over 240 pages) is unbelievable. I’ll have to admit that the mere amount of pages scared me at first, but the straightforward approach the author took when writing this book made it easy to read, follow, and digest.

The Golf Beginner Guide: What Were the Results?

Unlike the other golf ebooks I have reviewed, this book covers everything there is to know about golf. It will teach you the basics of driving, chipping, and putting down to the finest detail. If you don’t have a good swing, this book covers it. If you lack any kind of foundation in your game, this book will provide you with a sturdy one. If you already have a solid foundation in your game like me, this book will reinforce it.

This book offers beneficial tips in all facets of the game. I really liked the strategy the Golf Beginner Guide covers for its reader. Not only will it tell you how to hit certain shots, it will tell you how to approach them, both mentally and physically. Golf isn’t all about hitting it far and straight, being successful also has a lot to do with knowing when to hit which club, when to have a full swing, when to use a half swing…etc. The Golf Beginner Guide’s index is great and well organized as you will be able to skim back through the book very easily if you are looking to revisit a specific lesson/or topic. This is how I used it for the most part, rather than use it as a book, you can use it as a too/or guide and constantly refer back to it.

The Golf Beginner Guide: Conclusion

The bottom line is, this book is good. This is probably the longest book I’ve read in quite some time (I’m not a big reader) and it wasn’t bad at all. Like I mentioned earlier, it is written in straight-forward language that makes things easy to read and easy to understand. At less than for this book you can’t go wrong. That’s less than a single lesson with a golf pro at your local club or driving range and I can say for sure that this book will offer you more in short and long run than you’ll get out of that lesson.

The Golf Beginner Guide is definitely an investment worth making. It will help you get started as a beginner and make you better as you become more experienced. Look at this book more as an extensive guide/tool than a book, because it is something that you will be able to refer back to for the rest of your life, I guarantee it. Give this book a shot, you won’t regret it.To read more about the product visit it’s official site: http://onlinegolfdealreviews.com/golfbeginnerguide

The Secret to Shaving Strokes for a Solid Player

The Secret to Shaving Strokes for a Solid Player

Article by Golfdiscountsale2

The other day, my friend and I were having coffee and he was whining about how his game has become stale. He really believes he has reached a plateau where there are no more strokes to be gained during a round of golf. He was depressed, to say the least, but he was also wrong. My buddy is no Sam Snead (and neither am I) but he’s a solid player. (Taylormade R9 Forged Irons) His drives are usually reasonable in both distance and trajectory, meaning he doesn’t hook or slice anymore than the rest of us. His mid-game is good, he knows how to choose and use his long irons, his close game is very good and he can get out of a bunker when he finds himself in one. Now if you’re a good putter already, this probably won’t work for you. But if you normally get on the green in regulation and then have to putt more than twice to get into the cup, well, maybe you, too, could shave some strokes off your game by simply improving your putting abilities. What I suggested to him is something I think we can all learn from. If you four or five putt most of the greens on your course, (Cleveland CG15 Black Pearl Wedge) you’re adding a lot of strokes to your overall score. My suggestion to my friend was that rather than try to improve the other parts of his game, if he would simply putt one less stroke (on those four and five putt holes) he’d shave a significant amount of strokes off his game. If he could take one putting stroke off each hole, he’d save 18 strokes! There are a gazillion tips on putting–some work and some are just goofy–but nothing will improve your putting more than practice. My friend never spends time on the practice green and it shows when he’s on the course. But in his case–and in a lot of other cases, I suspect–there is really no other part of his game that he can significantly improve. And, frankly, he doesn’t need to spend time on his drive–he’s got that nailed. (Callaway X-22 Irons) He needs to spend time putting. That’s what’s killing his score card.If you know–or even suspect–that your putt is poor, get off the driving range and get on the putting green. You will be amazed at how fast your putting can improve when you spend just a little time each week practicing those putts. That improvement will carry over to your next round of golf, too, and you’ll see strokes simply fading away. Practice those putts!

The Introduction of Mizuno MP-58 Iron

The Introduction of Mizuno MP-58 Iron

Article by melody

The MP-58 provides a solid option not only for the mid level handicap player but for the scratch player as well.Mizuno irons have long adorned the bags of many good players around the world. A large percentage of the near-scratch guys at my club are playing them and have consistently raved about them. In fact one of them just replaced an old set of MP-32s with a new set of MP-67s, never considering another brand. When I had the opportunity to review a set of Mizunos, I jumped at the chance.

The MP-58s were actually a good fit since my last set of Mizunos (yes, I also have had them in my bag) were the T-Zoid Pro IIs – a pseudo-cavity backed club. With the advancement in technology, though, this set was bound to be slightly more forgiving and consistent: two traits any golfer is looking for in a set of clubs they buy.

The biggest question that remains, though, is whether the MP-58s can give you the playability that a one-piece forged muscleback does? Sure, I was a previous Mizuno owner but I currently sport the Titleist 695 MBs. Taking them out side by side was the best and most sure way of answering that question. So what was the result?

Build and TechnologyThe MP-58s have a build you would expect from Mizuno. Very solid and classic – while infusing some new technology. To develop the MP-58 iron, Mizuno uses a high-tech titanium metal during the forging of the outer muscle of the iron. This enhances the feel, workability and shape of the club. The lightweight titanium also allows for an ideal amount of thickness behind the impact area to promote the soft, solid, consistent feel while increasing the perimeter weighting for playability.

By the way,if you need another golf clubs, you cannot miss these styles as follows.

Tame Your Slice In Three Easy Steps

Tame Your Slice In Three Easy Steps

Article by Jack Moorehouse

Copyright (c) 2011 Jack Moorehouse

Hooking and slicing can get you into trouble—especially off the tee. Even players with low golf handicaps find it hard to go low if they’re constantly getting themselves into trouble. In addition to costing you strokes, slicing or hooking can ruin your position for your next shot. That makes it harder to greens hit in regulation (GIR). Fewer GIRs mean fewer birdies and pars, and higher scores. While we see more slicers than hookers in our golf lessons, one thing is certain: Eliminate a hook or a slice takes a little time and some work. Trying the golf tips given below will make the transition easier.

Taming Your SliceGolfers slice when the clubhead is open at impact. An open clubhead causes the clubface to cut across the ball at impact, putting sidespin on it. Sidespin causes the ball to curve in the direction the clubface is pointing.

To correct a slice:

Strengthen Your GripTo adopt a stronger grip, turn your left hand (right hand for left-handers) so you can see three knuckles at address. This promotes a closed clubface at impact.

Close Your StanceAn open stance causes the clubface to cut across the ball. Remedying this is simple. Turn your body a little to the right to set up an in-to-out swing path. By turning your body to the right, you close your stance

Rotate Your Right ArmsWith your body closed to the target line, your right arm will rotate over your left as you swing past your chest. This also promotes a closed clubface at the moment of impact.

Anti-slice Drill:Using a 7-iron, grip the club extra lightly. Set it down with the toe of the clubhead perpendicular to the ground. From there, swing the club halfway back and halfway through. As you swing through, let the toe of the clubhead hit the ground first. Feel the head take over as your forearms rotate through impact.

Taming Your HookA closed clubface at impact, on the other hand, triggers a hook. A closed clubface causes the clubhead to come too far inside. The key to curing a hook is to make contact with a slightly more open clubface.

Weaken Your GripTo tame a hook, you’ll want to “weaken” your grip. To do that, turn your left hand left (right if you’re a left hander) so you can see two knuckles at address.

Open Your StanceJust as you needed to close your stance to beat a slice, so to do you need to open your stance to produce a fade. So turn your body to the left slightly (left-handers turn right). That sets up a slightly out-to-in swing path.

Hold Off Arm RotationWith your body open to the target line, your chest turns open faster on the downswing. This enables you to hold off arm rotation for a bit. It also keeps the face open for a shot that starts left and curves right slightly.

Anti-Hooking DrillUse a 7-iron, set up with your back foot turned out about forty-five degrees and the ball positioned forward. Now make relatively easy swings, using your shoulders and upper body to do all the work. As you increase speed and improve ball flight, use longer clubs for the drill.

Hooking and slicing can get you into serious trouble—especially off the tee. That can ruin a hole and add strokes to your golf handicap. Taming your hook or slice using the golf tips described above will help you hit more fairways. That will put you into position to hit more GIRs. Do that and you’ll card more birdies and pars, and lower your golf handicap a couple of strokes.

Shot-shaping Callaway FT-9 Driver

Shot-shaping Callaway FT-9 Driver

Article by Golf Wholesale Shop

Callaway FT-9 Driver’s Fusion Technology that delivers professional shot-shaping and Tour distance, for a fine-tuned game. This is the driver the shot makers turn to. Versatility, distance and control all in one space-age package. The Callaway FT-9 Driver was designed to deliver the most creative shot-making you can think of. Fade it. Draw it. Or take it over the trees. With the addition of Hyperbolic Face Technology, ball speeds across the entire face have been dramatically improved to generate even more distance. Choose between Draw or Neutral configurations with the help of external web weighting that helps precisely position the center of gravity to promote the desired trajectory and ball flight for the desired shot shape. The FT-9 Tour Driver features a slightly open face angle and produces stronger, more penetrating trajectories preferred by highly accomplished players. The FT-9 benefits from the latest technology to produce an incredibly low-spin driver that is long and easily controlled. Callaway’s Hyperbolic Face technology creates an incredible feel at impact which produces a hot face with unmatched distance. Incorporating the success of the FT-5 with the Hyperbolic Face allows engineers to push ball speed specifications even further across the entire face without sacrificing any control. The Callaway FT-9 feels very comfortable in your hands. The solid feeling it gives comes from the multiple materials used in its creation, and plays a big part in the club’s satisfying weight distribution. (The Callaway FT-9’s CG is 18 percent lower than in other models, in fact.) Add the OptiFit to the club and trying it out becomes a breeze.Quite a few golf club manufactures make adjustable weight drivers, but very few can master the technology. Callaway golf is one of the few that can successfully do this. The OptiFit Weighting System allows the golfer to change the center of gravity by changing the weighting position. There are three weight locations that can be changed. The end result of the OptiFit Weighting System on the Callaway FT-9 driver is longer, straighter, golf shots!I thoroughly enjoyed the Callaway FT-9 and feel that is one of the better drivers currently available on the market. The driver combines traditional design with the latest technology producing a driver with a hot feel without sacrificing workability and forgiveness. If you are looking for a new driver seriously consider the Callaway FT-9. I was overly impressed with the results of this driver and look forward to adding this driver to my bag in the near future. Golfers’ review:I have bought the driver 10days ago and it really helped to reduce my score considerably because of the good distance it delivered. Traditional look. Forgiving on off-center hits, but it definitely has a sweet spot. When hit flush, it has a different tone and the ball comes off the face very hot.I bought this club, and only miss hit 1 drive when I went out yesterday for the first time with it. Hit longer and straighter than I ever have. It is the first decent Driver I have owned and I freaking love it.I Got the Callaway FT-9 last week. Have only smacked a few buckets at the range Verdict: Longer than the FT-3. Straighter than the Ping or Taylormade. Has a nice solid sound at ball impact. Looks good at address, lines up easy. Played a full round with my new FT-9 yesterday. First drive of the day, no warm up, exactly where I aimed it and the longest drive of the day. Just goes to show a smooth swing produces the best results. This driver is terrific and I love the idea that I can interchange the shaft if I feel like a change or find a better shaft. Love the shape, the feel and the sound. Feel very confident over the ball. Just got to sort out the swing now and I know I’ll be hitting good drives more consistently with this great club. This is the best driver I have ever owned. I switched from a 10.5 degree driver that was 2in longer, and I hit this 9 degree driver consistently 20-25yds longer. The ball flight is also very penetrating. With my old driver, I usually carried it about 245yds and roll another 10yds; with the new FT-9, I got it to carry 255yds then roll another 15yds. Overall, this driver is an excellent replacement for any driver. My Driver FT-5 old little crack and I brought new Callaway FT-9 hit straight than FT-5 I am surprise. I really love Callaway FT-9 Driver great swing hit straight, now handicap down now my 12 wow. I am happy FT-9 Driver. I am 70 yrs old. I am keep going play golf. The FT-9 is long and straight. By far the straightest driver i have ever owned in 40 years.More information at http://www.ourgolfstore.com/goods-77-Callaway+FT-9+Driver.html

How to Put on a Duvet Cover and More

How to Put on a Duvet Cover and More

Article by Linda Aviles

Duvet covers are coming to the rescue! Not only do they protect our beloved down comforters from horrible juice stains and our dogs muddy paw prints but they are also very convenient to wash. Remove the comforter and throw it in the wash, that simple. But what exactly do we need to know about the comforter cover before finally making the big purchase. There are two important factors you will need to know. The size and how to put one on the famous cover. The size of the bed is very important when making any bedding purchase. Whether the bed be a Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King or California King. Purchasing anything too small for your bed will leave you very disappointed. Measuring the bed before making a purchase is always a smart idea.

What exactly would we need to begin measuring the bed? Simple: a paper, pencil, measuring tape and maybe some assistance. First start by keeping the measuring tape as flat as possible. Measure the mattress length from top to bottom. Next, place the measuring tape across the center and measure the mattress from left to right. Determine the “drop” of the bedding by placing the tape measure once again on the top edge of the mattress, where you stopped measuring for the width. Pull the tape measure down to the point where you would like the bedding to fall. Make sure to write down these measurements on the paper and have them handy when its time to make your purchase.

Once you have made the purchase, it is time to put on the famous comforter cover. It may not be as easy as putting a pillowcase on a pillow but it does not have to be difficult either, just as long as you follow these easy steps: First, turn the duvet cover inside out. Reach down into the cover and grab the top corners with each hand. Next, pick up two corners of the comforter with your hands still inside the cover. While holding tight to the top corners of the duvet cover and the comforter, flip and shake the duvet cover over the comforter. Pull down the sides of the cover if necessary and spread the bedding on the bed. Tuck in the bottom corners, fasten the cover close and you are done. Finish off the look with some matching sheets and a couple of decorative pillows.

At Bedroom Duvet Spot, you will find a large selection of duvet covers, quilts and coverlets from Le Vele Bedding, Royal Hotel Collection and more.
