The result is an iron that is incredibly forgiving, while still incorporating the look and feel that better players prefer.

  2. Precision notch weighting raises the MOI while maintaining the optimal CG position.
  3. Tour-inspired head shape includes a thinner top line and narrower sole
  4. Modified Tru-Bore dampens vibration for enhanced feel and performance

Left Handed Callaway Hyper X 460 Ti Driver

Callaway X460CC Driver The all-titanium driver redesigned from the ground up for better ball speed and deeper drives. Callaway Golf engineers incorporated everything they know about all-titanium drivers into the new X460 Driver. At 460cc, this new driver combines a CT/VFT face, a consistent alignment sole and patented Callaway Golf technologies. This combination of technologies makes the X460 the longest all- titanium driver Callaway Golf has ever made. The unique sole design allows a larger, more stable clubhead and a larger face – more than 10% larger than the face of the Big Bertha 454 Driver. The new X-Sole Design allows the clubhead to rest on two distinct points of the sole, preventing any rocking back and forth for consistent alignment to your intended target. The Patented Callaway Golf Technologies – S2H2 and Tru-Bore- make this club hit longer than others. The Short Straight Hollow Hosel (S2H2) allows Callaway Golf’s engineers to take the useless weight found in the hosel and reposition it in the clubhead where you need it most, allowing you to hit the ball harder without swinging harder. Tru-Bore means the shaft is closer to the hitting area, providing better feel and clubhead control. The CT/VFT face creates ball speed up to the USGA limits of characteristic time.

Tee Off to a Better Practice With Golf Secret Tips

Tee Off to a Better Practice With Golf Secret Tips

Golf lessons are important to have to be able to improve your game performance. However, you do not need to have formal golf lessons to start to become the best. You can make each game on the greens, a golf lesson for you to learn from and take note of.

The best way to learn anything, especially golf is by practical, hands on experience. For the purpose of practical golf lessons, you can decide to visit a challenging course and play it to learn from it. There are many golf course resorts where you can lock yourself up in and keep at the game until you show pretty good improvements.

You can also decide to acquire the services of a professional for your golf lessons. Many golf courses and golf course resorts will have a personal trainer on hand to be able to give you valuable golf lessons. This type of trainer for your golf secret tips will be able to tell you right away what is hampering your performance as you play the field.

If someone watching over your shoulder is not something you fancy in terms of golf lessons then you may want to purchase one those self help audio books on golf lessons from a professional that you admire. You can pop the audio book into your favorite MP3 player and be gently guided by your golf idol’s voice as you cruise along the golf course. This particular type of golf secret tips can help you if having someone constantly looking from behind your shoulder is something that does not put you at ease and greatly affects your golf performance further.

Of course, again, if you are to choose a personal trainer to give you golf lessons, you should agree to one who is flexible and works with your abilities rather than forces his own ideas on to you. Each golf player is unique in the sense that each will have different handicaps and strengths and all these should come into play during golf lessons by dependable and remarkable trainers.

If after all your golf lessons you still feel no improvement in our game performance, you may want to look at some other factors to help you progress. For starters, remember that golf is a physical game and just like any other sport, you will need to warm up before the game so that you can have the flexibility needed in making the proper swings of your golf club.

Next, you will have to modify your attitude. The success of your golf lessons is dependent upon the type of attitude you are fostering toward your game. Negative thoughts create negative biorhythms that can affect the outcome of your game. If for example you are easily dismayed and disappointed, then one false move ruins the whole game for you. You should be able to bounce back from mistakes and turn them into opportunities for you to win the game.

Next important aspect in golf lessons is the ability and mindset to have fun. Golf is not a matter of life and death. It may seem so but it really is not. Therefore you need to foster a fun filled frame of mind so that your mind is more relaxed and can analyze situations better. This fun attitude in your golf lessons will also benefit your body because you will be more relaxed and flexible.

How to Correct a Golf Slice – Cure My Slice is the Cry of Golfers Worldwide

How to Correct a Golf Slice – Cure My Slice is the Cry of Golfers Worldwide

Article by Terry Gorry

In this article I am going to give you 2 quick tips as to how to correct a golf slice. They are aimed at the beginner golfer who has not experienced the pleasure of seeing their ball bend from right to left. But who recognises the need for more distance…right through the bag.

1. Release

To correct a golf slice and hit a draw you need a full and free release of the club through impact. This hand action, which is second nature to the professionals who have eaten their meals on the practice tee for years, involves letting the right hand and forearm release freely over the left through impact.

To get a good feeling for this hold the club up at waist height, with no ball to distract you, and swing back and forth slowly watching the opening and closing of the clubhead through the hitting area as you do so.

Then speed it up and experiment with speeding up and releasing earlier so that when you tee up your ball your clubhead will be closing through impact..thereby promoting a draw.

2. In to out Swing

To rid yourself of a slice you need to train and in to square to in path. But with a slice you are already swinging out to in in all likelihood so you need to exaggerate this cure by practicing swinging in to out.

To do this you can place a long tee in front of your ball but you must place it about 4/6 inches ahead and to the right of the ball-target line.

Then try to hit this tee in your follow through..it may be difficult at first but you will be swinging from in to out and giving yourself a great opportunity to hit a draw.

How To Choose Golf Club – Easing the Pain Of Golf Club Selection

How To Choose Golf Club – Easing the Pain Of Golf Club Selection

Article by Edward E. Kennedy

The Golf is being played by millions of people across the globe and has been there for several centuries However, very few people actually understand the basics of sport and know how this game is being played. If you are looking for clubs in the market, you have to keep in mind that you will find so many people offering such opinions and they have similar grasp of the game as you have. You will surely face difficulties while dealing with several alternatives of gold clubs. If you are out for new clubs in the market you are likely to hear a lot of hyped details about choosing the right clubs and that can greatly affect your game in a positive manner. If you are really looking forward to spend money for owning a golf club, it is so obvious that you have some prior experience with this sport. You don’t need to spend an insane amount of money on the nicest golf clubs possible.. You need to consider your experience with the old clubs where you spent time and money, You need to evaluate them in terms of their contribution to your sport, your liking and disliking about them or did you face any problems there? It is quite crucial that you analyze each old clubs on your weighted parameters before picking out any new golf club. If you like several things about the old clubs and are quite satisfied with their offering, then there may be possibility that you need not to look for new clubs. This practice of comparing old clubs in a table format would definitely help you out in discovering all required components in your future golf clubs. Now you may look for those new clubs which have all the things which you have shortlisted and are accustomed to and thereby eliminating all the other clubs from the alternatives.

You may look for expert advice while looking for appropriate length of golf clubs for your playing. Length of the clubs may impact your game on a large basis as using too short or too long could directly influence your shots. You need to think about playing with a golf club having an appropriate length that suits your needs for the game. You may ask your seasoned-golfer friend to follow your swings closely and then request him to see whether the length of the golf clubs is apt or not. This kind of advice may help you a lot in the process of buying golf clubs.

Once you have the basic range figured out, it’s a good idea to give a few clubs some good test swings and find out what feels the best as you swing it. Stick around the range that you initially figured out, but feel free to try ones that are a bit longer or a bit shorter. The more you experiment with, the more you will be able to be sure that you are really getting what you need.

By choosing your right golf clubs, you need to avoid any complacency as you need to continuously think about the investment made, and check regularly that whether is properly generating returns or not.

How to Play Golf Like Tiger Woods

How to Play Golf Like Tiger Woods

Are you looking for a way to halve your golf handicap immediately?

Then read on…

Did ya watch Tiger Woods during the U.S Open at Torrey Pines this year?

Tiger meticulously planned each golf shot – he is a pure golf warrior!

Tiger Woods is the best golfer on the planet mainly because he fully understands his strengths – and weaknesses. Yes, even Tiger has weaknesses.

You might think to play golf like Tiger Woods means to bomb every drive.

Or go for the miracle golf shot. This is hardly the case.

Read on…

When Tiger has the lead in the final round of a golf tournament he usually plays conservative; like hitting fairway wood off the tee – this usually takes the big number out of the equation. He lets his opponents beat themselves as they aggressively chase him.

Tiger’s knee hurt badly during all 4 rounds of the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines this past weekend. A weakness in his game not to be denied or ignored. Because of his knee injury Tiger knew what he was capable of, and what he wasn’t capable of.

Tiger played within his limits!

Even with all of Tiger’s power he still lays up on par fives when he’s in the rough, especially when he has the lead in the final round. He didn’t go for the green in two and risk shooting himself out of the golf tournament.

Tiger Woods learned early in life under the tutelage of his father Earl on how to survey the golf course AND his opponents with uncanny precision. Tiger does this through the fine art of course management.

And mental toughness!

What is the fine art of course management you say? It all starts with knowing your limits.

Knowing your strengths and weaknesses, and knowing your opponent’s strengths and weaknesses – and of course know the golf course you are playing on – this is your battlefield!

Tiger Woods knows his limits and plays within them. Amatuer golfers usually try to hit the golf shot they can pull off maybe 1/10 times. This usually ends up costing them at least 10 strokes or more a round (depending on their level).

The truth is, trying to pull off a shot you can perform maybe 1/10 attempts is foolish. This may make for great drama. Remember Tin Cup? How bout Jean Van de Velde when he choked in the ’99 British Open? They both went for the miracle golf shot.

The truth is going for the miracle shot when everything is on the line may make for great T.V. drama; however this attitude will absolutely crush your golf scores!

Do you hit driver on a 300 yard par 4 even though you can only drive the ball 250? The 50 yard pitch shot is one of the hardest shots in golf…

Even for Tiger Woods!

Rather than reaching for the big stick, leave yourself 100 yards for your second shot. For most good golfers 100 yards is a full pitching wedge which they can hit in their sleep.

Play golf like Tiger Woods as he systematically wore down a game competitor in Rocco Mediate during the 18 hole playoff in this year’s U.S. Open. Think and plan ahead – know your strengths – and your weaknesses!

The fact of the matter is, if you plan on leaving the golf ball at your “sweet spot” distance from the hole, you will dramatically improve your chances of hitting more greens in regulation.

And more greens in regulation leads to more circles on your score card – which means more pars and birdies!

For some this sweet spot distance from the pin is 100 yards, some 120 yards, learn what your sweet spot distance is and practice that shot over and over at the range until you can hit that shot in your sleep.

Play golf like Tiger Woods sizing up his next major win!

Hit ’em Long and Straight!

The Right Catfish Hooks to Increase Your Success

The Right Catfish Hooks to Increase Your Success

Knowing how to select the right catfish hooks for the type of catfish you want to catch is very important. Fishing for a 2lb channel is vastly different than fishing for a 50lb blue or flathead catfish. The sizes I use range from 2 to 2/0 in most waters but there are times when you can use larger hooks up to 6/0 effectively.

I usually fish with a 2/0 baitholder hook as I can get both table fare and some good sized cats without having to worry about the hook failing. When I am at a location, such as below a dam, that has proven to produce monster cats consistently I will use a 4/0 hook.

The way I select the right catfish hook is easy. In waters where I am unsure of what to use I always start with a 1/0 baitholder hook. If your drag is set properly this hook is sturdy enough to bring in the big catfish and small enough to provide good table fare.

When I am trying to make sure I have a decent catch to take home for dinner I often switch to a smaller hook. Not many catfish anglers recommend this but I have had great success doing so. For instance, if I am having a problem with the catfish taking my bait, running with it for a short distance and then just simply dropping the bait I will switch to a #2 baitholder. Of course it is not as effective for big fish but it does put food on the table.

When it comes to winter fishing for catfish, you really can get better results using smaller hooks too. Even when you are trying to catch big fish. Especially in the winter, when the water is cold and calm, the catfish tend to be finicky, and you have to try to get them out of the water without spooking them.

In the springtime, when the fish are not so finicky, you can move up to some bigger hooks like a 4/0 baitholder hook. These are particularly good when there are flood water kinds of conditions present. During flood conditions, the fish tend to get very aggressive, and they really grab on to basically whatever is out there. You will miss some fish you could catch if you use the smaller hooks in flood conditions.

No matter what size or type hook you prefer to use you should always have an assortment on hand so that you can adapt to the waters or conditions you are fishing in. Go often enough and you will work out your own system and preferences for choosing the right catfish hooks.

Some Optional Accessories for Golf

Some Optional Accessories for Golf

Article by Darren Pace

There are a plethora of accessories available for playing golf in addition to the most basic equipment needed to simply play the game (a ball & clubs) at its most rudimentary level. A golf bag and golf shoes are probably the first two additions to the equipment that one should consider, but after these two items, the items become a little more personalized based on individual features, characteristics, and the ability to purchase. Some items that one may wish to seriously consider purchasing next would be:

1) The USGA Rules of Golf. Yes, there are many rules to the game and a firm understanding of the rules will simultaneously frustrate and enhance your ability to play the game well. The rules will define some of the golf accessories that are available for the game of golf that are actually forbidden by the rules, so you may want to start right here if you have any desire to play in any sanctioned competitions in the future.

2) Consider purchasing a golf umbrella. As an accessory for golf, an umbrella is one of those things that you will hopefully not need often, but when you do it will be the best piece of equipment in your bag. Just picture yourself about as far away from the clubhouse as you can possibly be when that thunderstorm breaks loose to know the answer why.

3) In addition to an umbrella one should consider a golf rain suit as an additional golf accessory. These are a wonderful addition for the die-hard golfer that wants to finish the round even though it has started to drizzle and looks as if it is not going to stop for a while.

4) A very popular accessory for golf is also the golf glove. This addition can greatly enhance the players grip on the club and significantly improve solid contact on each and every shot. Additionally, specific gloves are also manufactured for playing in the rain as well.

5) Another accessory for golf that is very popular is the clip-on towel. A towel is a great addition for removing debris from the golf ball and/or the golf clubs after making a shot. Additionally low cost items such as ball markers and green repair tools can add a little spice to the game.

6) Club covers are a great accessory for golf clubs to protect them from damage that can occur in transit or while being carried, wheeled, or carted along on the golf course.

7) Specialty clubs are also a great way to personalize your equipment based on your strengths and weaknesses. There are a wide variety of clubs available that one can purchase in addition to the standard set of clubs including, but not limited to, “trouble woods”, sand wedges, ultra-loft pitching wedges, and drivers with various lofts, head styles, shaft lengths and stiffness’.

8) Putters. Putting is half the game and deserves a lot of attention because of it. A wide range of different putters are available that will allow the individual to further personalize their golf accessories up to and including head covers for the putter as well.

This is just a small snapshot of the many different, but perhaps more popular, accessories for golf.

Why Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 1.5 Putter Is Popular?

Article by Tenniskey

The Studio Select line is the result of Scotty Cameron’s Putter research and their drive to create a putter collection with the finest technical performance and incredible overall feel. The precision milled 303 Stainless Steel Newport putters feature an improved high toe profile and heel and toe circular sole weights that allow for numerous length options in each odel.

Three Tips for Better Putting in Golf

Three Tips for Better Putting in Golf

In this article, we are going to explore three tips for improving your putting on the golf course.  You might be surprised to know what you can learn about golf from the game of pool, your feet, and Stephen Covey.

We all know the expression, “drive for show, putt for dough” and we all know it because it’s universally applicable.  You cannot score well in golf if you do not know how to putt.

Many of you have mastered the long drive, but are still inoperable when it comes to getting the ball in the whole.  How is it possible that we can hit a ball consistently 270 yards down the fairway with the new Taylor Made Drivers but have trouble with a 5 foot putt?  Well, this can be answered simply:  the game of golf.

Golf is a fickle beast, rewarding you and chastising you within a matter of moments.  How many times have you lost a hole to your playing partners because you had a three putt or missed a 4 foot birdie putt?  To become a par golfer, you must know how to putt well.

With these three tips, you can improve your putting which will improve your golf scores.

In tip #1, we are going to compare putting in golf to the game of pool.  You have all seen on TV how Camillo Villegas goes all the way down on the ground with his Spiderman technique to analyze putts.  Do you know why he does this?

Yes, because it works.  It allows you to view a putt like it was shot in a game of 8 ball.  If I placed the queue ball on a pool table four feet from the pocket, would you be able to hit the queue ball into the pocket?  Of course you would.

Why can you not do the same thing with a golf ball?  The holes, though different sizes, are proportionately sized.  Simply think of each 8 foot putt and under like hitting a cue ball into the corner pocket.

For tip #2, we will tell you to think with your feet and not with your head.  When you are trying to read a break on the golf green, your feet often see better than your eyes.  Walk the basic line of your put and let your feet feel the break.  You will notice that your feet often tell you much more than your eyes.

Tip #3 involves a step from the book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” authored by Stephen Covey.  The habit that we are interested in is habit #2:  Begin With the End In Mind.  In this case, your end is to make the putt.  How often do you envision your putt going into the hole?  Ever?  You need to see your putt going in before you’ve struck the golf ball.

In summary, you need to think of short putts like you would an easy pool shot, think with your feet, and envision your ball going into the hole every time.  Follow these three pointers and you will become a better putter!
